Birthday..... more

Here is the great present Mom gave me

 

She said it is a very special collar for a very special boy!!! 

 

Grandma gave me money and I was able to go shopping!!!   I got cookies and an antler.  Mom let me go shopping BEFORE our weekend trip so I could take my antler with me.  Thank you Grandma!!

 

 

It was a fabulous birthday weekend.  But now it is time to snuggle in as I am glad to be home!



It's my Birthday

What a great birthday weekend.  Off to Gettysburg with Mom for Nose Work, long hikes, and good food.  Nose Work was the best though - I really love playing "search."   Then home for another vacation day with Mom that included walks in the park, off to the pond to chase geese and swim.  Does it get any better??   I guess it does as we came home to a great meal by Gary.

After dinner we went to Orange Leaf for some great yogurt.  I even got to eat out of my own cup!!  But as soon as it was gone I was giving Gary the eye hoping he would share his too.

Fun in Gettysburg

Mom and I had soooo much fun in Gettysburg.

Resting for Afternoon Searches

Most do not realize how stimulating and what hard work searches are.   They are very mentally exhausting and depending on the search area, can be physically exhausting.  Not to mention the walk to get to the search area.   I am resting up for the afternoon search.  It will be a lot more walking as we need to get clear out to the exterior hide.  But I AM ready!!!

Our Hangout

At NoseWork trials, most of the time, you must hang out in your vehicle.  Searches are inside, so we cannot crate inside.  Since they are "dog" friendly, you cannot set up tents as some dogs don't behave and will be mean to other dogs walking by.  So this is "our hangout" for the day.  Lucky for me, Mom got my puppy penthouse.  Really appreciating it this weekend.  I can really stretch out!!

There is also room for Mom to sit, that way she can sit back here with me and share snacks.   And, as you can tell, it is her "desk" area too!   Fun, fun, fun!!!!

A Cool Start

We have arrived!!!   It is a cool morning, but that is such a GOOD thing.  Mom gave me a blanket just in case as she has to go to all the briefings and will not be able to monitor me.  So I can do what I want with the blanket.

 

She also prepared the van, so we can keep that coolness inside for ME!

Resting up for the BIG Day

After a long drive, a long walk, a nice dinner (and part of Mom's dinner) I am getting ready for the big day tomorrow.  Dreaming of searching....

I am so lucky to have a great park that we can go to all the time!!   Thank goodness Mom and Gary enjoy going to MY park too!!

Sweet Frog

Mom and I have been going different places after work to do our home work.  We found a new place for yogurt and it is GOOD.  After we finish our homework, we go there to have cold yogurt and relax for a few minutes.   I sure am glad Mom found this great place.  Now we can get yogurt no matter where we go to work.

Nose Work makes you tired!

I had fun playing nose work with Mom, but it sure makes you tired!
