Easter Dinner

Gary made a really great Easter dinner.  We had chicken medallions on the grill, potatoes and stuffed mushrooms.  You should see how big the mushroom was that Gary got.  I wanted it all to myself.  I LOVE those stuffed mushrooms.

I am hoping that dinner is followed with another run in the backyard.  I can't get enough of playing outside right now!

Two Toys and Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for Easter!!  I was so excited as I have not seen them in a LONG time.  I grabbed my new Easter toy to show them and Grandma handed me another new Easter toy.  So that made two, and two I carried!!

 

 

I also showed them how good I could "Search."  Mom would hide my odor and I would go find it.  They were very impressed with my talents :)    I sure hope they come back soon to visit me!

I had a sneak peak before our photo session though.  I just could not wait!!!  But then Mom snapped the official photo so I could dig in!

Outdoor Fun

After Mom ran errands, we packed up all our stuff and went out back to play.  We did all kinds of fun drills and some new exercises for our jumping. I wasn't quite sure what Mom wanted me to do as it was odd, but I must have done good as I kept earning cookies.  I checked the baby bunny nest a couple of times too, just in case I had missed some earlier.  But no luck, they were all gone.

Then we put all our ORT boxes on the deck and did several searches.  I false indicated on the first time, but Mom realized it as she said I am not as strong in my indication.  I guess she knows me better than I think.  But then I nailed the other 4!  And in less than 30 seconds too.

We did some inside searches too, and I nailed those quickly too.  We have 3 minutes in a test.  I do not think I will have any issue with that! :)

Gary is planning a cookout tonight, so hopefully after dinner we can play some more.  I am so happy to be playing with Mom in our back yard.

MY Easter Celebration

I celebrated Easter in my own special way tonight, I raided a bunny nest.  Mom told me that there would be no more Easter bunny deliveries for me!   I actually found one on Thursday night, but Mom was recovering from a migraine and really did not see what I was doing.  She saw bunny fur, but we have bunny fur all over our yard.  But this morning she caught me in the act and told me to drop them.  I did, I dropped them.  But she never said anything about "leaving them" so I dropped them and then I ate them.

SPRING!!!

I think Spring is finally here!!  I sure hope so, I am ready to play outside every night.  Mom and I went out tonight and worked on our jumping and weave drills, and then I got to run all around the yard.

We also practiced our nosework tonight in the house.  I am GOOD at nosework!  It is hard to find a challenge that I cannot tackle quickly.  Gary has taken it as a personal challenge to stump me.  I think it is funny that I can beat him every time.

Mom said we are going for our very first nose work test soon, I cannot wait!

Blind Crosses Are Fun

We went to class tonight and the topic was blind crosses.  And not normal blind crosses, but crazy double crosses.  Everyone was laughing and having a hard time even figuring out how to do them.  But I LOVED them.  I thought they were fun and did a really good job with them.  I even had tighter turns with them.  Better get in shape Mom, as you will need to run faster to do them!  :)

Work from home today!

I have had a great "work from home" day.  I lounged under Mom's desk, shared breakfast, played outside with Nique, came back in for snack time and then lounged some more.  We got to play on lunch hour, followed by a great lunch.  Then Mom rubbed me and got me all comfy with my BOT coat for my muscles.

We get to play tonight, so it will be a FULL day!

Spring Snow

What a surprise.  We played outside in the nice weather all weekend and then Mom opens the door this morning and .... SNOW!!  Where did that come from.  Oh, well, better enjoy it.  Nique and I took off out the door and around the yard.  Even though it should not really be here, it was fun.   Mom thought it was "pretty."

Crashing with Gary

Gary and I did a lot of hard work today, so we are tired.  After a big dinner and Orange Leaf yogurt (YUM!) we crashed on the couch.  It is fun to crash with Gary!

It is MY day

Mom and I made cookies this morning.  She realized that I had NO (that is correct, NO) turkey cookies left in the freezer.  I am glad she realized before we needed them.  So we made three batches of cookies this morning and I was such a good helper.  I only took the pot holder once :)   That is my favorite part, helping with the pot holder.  Well, after taste testing.

After making cookies, we went to train.  We did all kinds of fun stuff.  We took all our nosework boxes and did some practice ORTs.  I did GREAT on my birch, but one box really fooled me for the anise.  I was quite shocked when Mom opened the box and there was nothing inside.   It is hard to fool me!   We also worked on our agility and it was fun.  We did new fun games and I was having so much fun.  Then I asked mom if we could heel.  I really do like to heel.  Then we did signals and all kinds of other fun obedience things.

We ended our time by playing retrieve with my bunny rope toy.  It is a great toy as I can tug, retrieve, throw, all kinds of great things with one toy.  AND it is made from a bunny.

When we got home Gary had a great dinner ready for us.  He is a good cook!

Mom and I took one last run outside before dark.  I found all kinds of bunny hair in our yard, I didn't do it - honest!!

Crashed after a great day

After our great walk, we went to our training yard and worked on weaves and jumping and heeling and signals and....  we did all kinds of great fun stuff.  I have really missed training outside and did not want to quit.  Mom kept releasing me to go play and I kept coming back and asking to play games with her.   I forgot how much fun it is to work outside.  But after our great walk and then all our games outside, it was time to snuggle in for a nap!!

Great Day at the Park

Mom and I went to the park to run today.  As usual, we were the only ones there as it was a little chilly out.  I like "chilly" and Mom just wears more clothes.  But the best part is I get to run off leash and run and run and run.  It is so much fun to smell all the great smells and chase all the critters.

2 Bone Day

I can tell that it is going to be a 2 bone day, I am ready!

Fun day

Mom and I had a lot of fun today.  We finally had a day around the house to play and do fun things.  No going away, no Mom working at the computer, just Mom and I having FUN!!! 

We took a long walk at the park and I got to RUN!   it is good to go when it is cooler out as we usually have then entire place to ourselves so I can run all over and we can make many trips around.

Then we played nose work games.  I LOVE my nose work.  We practiced for our ORT and then did interior searches.  I am GREAT at interior searches and can find them in less than a minute.  Usually in 20 seconds.

We also cleaned my training room, that was not as much fun, but I helped and kept taking all the fun things and running with them so Mom would chase me.  Plus we found all kinds of toys that have been hidden.  I didn't know I had so many fun toys.

Then Gary cooked us a great dinner.  We had chicken medallions on the grill, seafood stuffed mushrooms, potatoes and lima beans.  I really like lima beans and kept trying to drink the juice. 

The only downside to my day was I had to have a bath.  I know I needed one, in fact I was trying to chew the mud off my toenails.  I didn't like it at the time, but I sure feel good now.

Then Gary and I crashed on the couch!!

Mom made some small mats for my obedience ring work.  I was tired of waiting on her to finish, so I crashed in the training room.  Well, you can see what she did with the mat!

Mom and I had a long weekend and are happy to be home.

I really enjoy going to my park.  And the best thing is that if it is cold, rainy, muddy, no one else is there so we have it all to ourselves.  That is THE BEST!!   I love to run and explore and chase anything that moves.  

My new collar

Mom has spent WAY too much time trying to find the perfect collar for me.  She wanted something like my personality.  Each one she considered, Gary said it was not me.  So, between the two of them, it took forever to get a new collar for me.  Mom also said that it is a good thing she didn't have a female Weim or she would have enough collars to wear a different one every day.   I am glad she didn't buy me any "girlie" collars.

Here I am sporting my new collar complete with bow tie.  It was a special gift from supplier.
