Great Weekend

We had such a wonderful weekend.  It was truly Weimaraner weather and we played outside a lot.   Today we started our day with another wonderful walk in the park.  We were the only ones in the park for quite awhile and we walked for over an hour.  Well, Mom walked, I ran and ran and ran.  There were not many critters, but I checked out every inch of the park.  We also took different paths since we did not have to worry about bicycles.

Then we ran in the back yard and did some obedience in the house.  After lunch, Gary mowed the yard and Nique and I went out and chased each other.  Well, she chased me after I started it.  She was trying to be good and I wanted her to chase me!

Then we went to the township building and did nose work.  Mom said I was a super star :)   The wind was strong and I still found all my hides in record time.  We did 4 vehicle hides and 4 exterior hides.

When we got home Gary had a super dinner ready.  We had chicken medallions, stuffed mushrooms and potato casserole.  It was all very yummy.  Mom made pumpkin dip and we had some of that on her special cookies.

And to end the evening, she let me run in the back yard again.  A great way to end our awesome weekend.

Home Depot to play

We went to Home Depot to do our obedience home work this afternoon.  Mom found a man standing at the paint counter and we used him as our judge.  He was a 'dog smart' man and figured out what we were doing.  He was really nice and helped us a lot.  So then Mom used him as my reward!  So for doing my setups, I got to go say hi.  He was waiting on his wife to get paint, so he was having as much fun as we were.  Then his wife came over and she played the game too.  It was nice to meet them and even better that they helped us so much. 

After dinner we did nose work.  We did two household items and two interior hides.  I found all of them FAST.  Mom got a rubber ducky and put the odor inside.  She was afraid I would not be able to find it as the odor was "trapped."  But I found it in about 20 seconds, she told me what a super star I am.    She needs to up the ante, as I am doing better than her.  Well, I guess that is pretty typical with Weimaraners.  She always says that you need to be one step ahead of us.

Here we go again

Mom is trying to turn me into a ghost!  I think she needs to try again..

Walk in the park

Mom and I just started our morning walk when it started raining.  I thought she might make us go home, but she said we could stay and walk.  YEA!!   I do not mind walking in the rain, especially in my park.  It was so much fun and there were not very many people there.  We got to play a lot longer too as I did not get hot.   Mom thought it was pretty with all the Fall colors.

More Posing at the park

Mom and I went to the park after our long weekend trip, and guess what, a new photo opp!   Of course Mom notices it, she does not miss opportunities to take pictures of me.
