Training Night

Mom and I trained tonight and she put together some video so we could go back and watch. I like it because sometimes Mom watches and says "hmm, I made him do that??" well, yes, I wouldn't do it if she hadn't told me too!! :)

Ready to Play!!

After dinner I took a nap and Gary thought I was too tired to play.
W H A T.... is he kidding... I love to play and I am READY to play!!!

Mom and I did weaves and jump work and getting ready to go work on table, teeter, and chute. It is too muddy to go outside to work, but I think we can tomorrow. And then back to class on Thursday, I can't wait!!!

I did hear them mention that dancing show again... I just do not see what is so exciting about it. At least we are playing before it comes on.

Great weekend

What a great weekend we had. Even though it rained today, Mom and I were able to do a lot of fun stuff. We played in the training room and when it quit raining Mom and Gary raised the teeter for me and then I went out to play on it. It was a lot of fun and I didn't want to stop.

Then we went to Home Depot to see all my friends and train a little. I saw a lot of little kids and even got to meet a few of them and they liked to pet me. I was very good and did heads up heeling in the main aisle. I have never been able to do that before on a busy day. When I first started going to Home Depot, I couldn't even keep a loose leash in the main aisle and now I have full attention. Mom was so proud of me. We practiced all our rally exercises and I did everything perfect!!!

I wanted to play again, but Mom said I had to wait until my food digests. I just ate dinner a few minutes ago. So I guess I will just nap until time to play. I am tired as it has been a full weekend and I had so much fun!!!

Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny came to our house when we were out yesterday. Wow - how exciting to come home and find a great Easter Basket with lots of good cookies and cute "chicken" and "carrot" eggs. There were also eggs with dollars inside so I could go and pick out my own cookies AND gift certificates for Mom and I to go to Wendy's to eat lunch!! Leave it to my Grandma to find such cute Easter eggs :) I wish I would have been home to see her, I love it when she comes to visit me.

Mom Wins

I guess Mom fooled me, I am worn out and ready to sleep. We had a BIG day today and so much fun. We did a lot outside and I was outside all day other than when we ran errands.

A Full Day!

We started our day with Panera breakfast and then out to run errands. Most importantly PVC for my agility equipment. Mom found a place that carries all the fittings really close to our house. Then we did some other errands and I was ready to GO HOME! We stopped and got lunch and went home to see Gary (who is working on my Aframe) and we all had lunch together. Then Mom and I went out and did some agility training, got more stuff out of the shed to paint and just ran around in the yard. It was really muddy and I had to keep getting my feet wiped off when we went in the house.

We did some jumping exercises and groundwork exercises and mom put out my 12 weave poles. I did a pretty good job with them, but that is hard work!! My entries are definitely better and I am single striding most of the time. Mom said I just need to learn my own rhythm, which will come once I start doing more of the 12 poles. We also did some teeter work today too, after mom dug it out from the leftover snow and put it in the sun.

We are off to get a pizza for dinner - YUM! I love pizza. Mom said we can go out and play again after dinner. But then she said it was movie time :( I guess maybe she thinks she will wear me out when we go to play so that she can watch a movie. huh, I don't think so....

Fun class

Mom and I went to rally tonight and had a lot of fun. We had really tough courses and one was really twisty and lots of turns. The funny part is that *I* did better than mom. All our mistakes were hers; I did what she told me but it wasn't right. No cookies for mom!! Then when we went to the other end of the building, I saw the teeter so I went over and pushed it to the ground - just like we have been doing at home. It was fun and mom was very proud of me. After class I got to do it several times and I was really good and didn't mind doing it over and over.

On the way home mom stopped at Blockbuster and got The Blind Side. She was so happy as she got the very last one on the shelf. All I can say is that it means LESS training time as she will be watching TV. Hmmm, wonder if I can do something to that TV??

Get rid of the TV

Gosh, I do not understand why Mom thinks watching people dance on TV is fun?? She and Gary were both watching it. Do they not understand we have things to do. Like tables, weaves, tunnels, chute, teeter, signals.... it really doesn't matter. Going out to run and retrieve would be good too. Mom tries to sit and watch TV and I glare at her from the training room, then if she ignores me, I run in and tap her and run back. She did come and play with me during commercials, but then Gary would yell and tell her when it was back on. I guess I just do not see what the excitement is. We can have so much more fun on our own.

Tonight was much better, it was so nice outside and Mom and I spent over an hour out back playing. We did all kinds of fun stuff and I did great rear crosses on my jump box. I also did 6 straight poles really well too. I am so excited that we can go outside and play and it doesn't get dark really early either.

EXHAUSTED!!

What a day... it was sooo much fun, but now I can hardly keep my eyes open. We have been working and playing all day and Grandma even came to visit too! We started really early this morning and went non-stop until tonight. We did jumps, weaves, teeter, chute, table, retrieving, running, playing, chase, PT exercises and now I am ready to crash. We worked on our weaves 4 times today, the teeter and chute a couple of times and then every thing else too. I BEG to work on my weaves, I really think they are fun. Mom was able to put them in a straight line tonight and I could do jump to weaves from left turn and right turn and straight on.

I also found bunny fur in the back yard, no bunny or bunny parts, just lots of fur. I wonder how that happened... I kept tracking it trying to find something else, but no more clues.

Grandma came to visit this afternoon. I was so happy to see her, and she had on sandals and I kept sniffing her toes. Then when she walked through the house I accidentally stepped on the back of her sandal and stopped her in her tracks. Mom doesn't wear those kind of shoes so I was really interested in them... I didn't want her to leave either, I thought she should stay longer and play with me.

Time for sleep.... although I can't wait to play tomorrow!!!

Teeter fun!!!

My teeter is DONE! Mom and Gary carried it out and put it on the deck. I started playing jungle gym teeter and slamming it on the deck. Then I would run and do my 2o/2o on the other end. Gary, being Gary...., did the teeter. It looked like so much fun *I* did the teeter too. It even slammed really loud on the deck, but I heard the click AND treats over the teeter. Wow, did I say how much fun it was?!?! Gary and I did the teeter over and over and over. Gary is fun to train with!!

I am sneaky

Mom has this really cool dust "thingie" that is to be used on shelves, TV, etc. It is on a handle (like my toilet brush) but then is like a little mop. It could be a very cool shake toy. I always attack it when she tries to use it, but then she keeps it in a drawer when not in use.

Today she was getting something out of the drawer, and I guess she was concentrating, as I grabbed the duster and away I went. I took it out in the back yard and she never even knew I had it. She walked by the window and saw me standing out there with it, but must have thought it was my toilet brush. I was able to detach it from the handle and was having so much fun playing with it. Then my big mistake.... I took it back in the house. That is when she realized what I had. She made me "bring it" to her and I had to give it up! Next time I will keep it outside, she won't even know it is missing.

Of course there are no pictures to post as she was too busy making me give it back!

Frisbee Fun!!

Mom and I played Frisbee today too, there are so many fun things to do in this great weather!!!

Spring time Equipment Overhaul

With spring in the air, Mom and Gary were working on the agility equipment. I can't wait until I have all the equipment in the back yard again. They were outside working, so I dug out my hammer so I could help too. I thought if I helped, maybe we could get it out there quicker!! They just thought I was cute....

(Note from Mom: Edge truly did go find this hammer on his own. Gary and I were out working on the equipment and when I came in he was sitting there with his hammer. Sometimes I really think this boy is way too smart!)

Jumps, Weaves, Retrieving, Running, Birds...

that is what you can do outside when it is this nice. Mom and I spent a long time outside tonight. We would run and play and run and play and chase birds, and Mom chase me and I chase squirrels. I sure hope it stays like this because I really enjoy playing outside!

We also sat down in the grass for awhile and I rolled on my back and kicked my feet in the air. It felt so good to do that in the grass. Then I grabbed my raccoon toy and played with it while I rolled and kicked. What a good day!! We really had a lot of fun!

SUN, FUN, AND WEAVES

Mom was right!! It was soooo nice outside today. She worked from home, so she propped open the back door so I could go out and play. That still is not as much fun as going out to play with her!! At lunch time we went out and ran and jumped and weaved and ran some more. It was a blast. We worked on my weave entries and Mom told me how proud she is of me. It finally clicked and I can make entries with Mom really far away and in all directions. I have learned to go up and around the pole and you should hear Mom, it is funny :) Today was the first day that I could really do it with her that far away.

I got to play outside more in the afternoon while Mom was working and then we went to see Dr. Karen. I was pretty good, just my neck needed some adjustments, but better than last week.

We couldn't practice any more agility tonight since I was adjusted, but we did go out and run. I love it when Mom chases me, I tuck my butt and run FAST!!! She cheats and runs through the middle, but that is okay, I just go faster!! I can't wait to go out again tomorrow and play.

Let's Play - PLEASE

I wanted to go outside to play tonight and Mom said it was too cold, rainy, and muddy. Who cares??!! Not me, I just want to go play, please...... She said maybe tomorrow as it is supposed to be warmer outside.

WEAVES

Mom and I have really been working on our weaves - I think weaves are my favorite! I BEG mom to come play weaves with me and I don't want to stop. I am able to do almost straight poles now. You can hardly tell they are not in a straight line and I am getting better at my entries too. We still have a lot of work to do, but that is fine as I really like playing the weave game!!

Mom said we could play weaves outside today if the weather cooperated, but it didn't. It is really rainy and muddy out, so we just played in the house.

FUN FUN FUN

Mom and I went to Eden Park to the agility trial today to visit. I could not believe how much fun it was, I got to play with so many dogs and even little tiny puppies. Every one was so nice to me and was so glad to meet me. They all thought I was handsome too :) I got to watch agility and even do the practice jump. Mom also had me measured so that I can get my height card. I sure hope I can start playing soon as it looked like so much fun and I really enjoyed going there. We were there for FOUR hours and I was so tired when we got home. Mom and I played some, but then I napped!! What a GREAT day!!

Agility OUTSIDE!!!

WOW!!! I am so excited!!!! We got to play agility outside tonight. We just did weaves and jumps, but just doing that was FUN! Mom was doing 2 jump lead outs and lead out pushes and I did everything perfect. I love playing outside with Mom. When we were done, she told me it was okay to go run and play. I didn't want to.... I wanted to keep playing with her. I got another new training toy too, it is a raccoon tail, Mom tried to surprise me with it but I could smell it in her pocket!!!

SPRING!

Mom and I have had so much fun in the nice weather. We had a chiro appointment tonight and couldn't train so we took a long walk. We went someplace that we have not been in a long time and I checked out all the sights. Mom said I am hard work?? I just wanted to see everything now that the snow is gone.

TIRED!

Resting on my pig pillow after a fun day outside.

Playing with Gary

Gary took me out in the yard when he got home today and he threw snowballs for me - BIG snowballs. I had fun launching and catching them and then would ZOOM around the yard. We have had so much fun playing outside today.
And look, I CAUGHT one:

ONLY in OHIO!

Mom and I went out to play today in the S U N!!! Woohoo!!
The potty yard is still showing signs of our winter blizzard:

And 200 yards further, our training yard is Spring time!!!

After I enjoyed running and tracking in the yard, Mom and I played bumper. I was a very good boy and could "whoa" from moving and hold it while Mom threw the bumper and then released me. And then I was a really good boy and would take it back and hand it to her so we could do it again!! I love playing bumper, especially when it is so nice outside. Mom said we may set up a jumpers course later today... I sure hope so!

Weim Tired!

It is a lazy Saturday. I am "Weim tired" after two nights of class, agility on Thursday and Rally on Friday and my "snow boarding" adventure. I ran errands with Mom this morning and now relaxing this afternoon. I am getting my rest so that we can play later today!!

New Collar

My new collar arrived today!!! Mom and Gary think I look very handsome in my new collar. Of course, *I* know I do!!

(Note from Mom: Rick at Master's Pride does a fabulous job and all his collars have great workmanship. His website is www.masterspride.com)

Winter Olympics - Edge Style

When Mom came home for lunch today, she let me out of my cage and I ran to get a shoe. I do this every day as I love to carry shoes around the house. Mom walked to the other side of the room as she thought she would trade with me and give me a toy instead. The next thing I know I am "snowboarding" down the basement steps. Talk about scary - I HATE the basement, and here I am flying down the steps. I landed and was a little stunned about what happened, I was also in the dark. I heard Mom run across the floor and turn on the lights, I think she was scared. I know I was. She came running down to make sure I was okay.

Mom has a shoe tray in the basement way and that is where all the shoes are. I guess I hit it so hard that it slid across the floor and then I hopped on and away I went. Wow, what a scary ride. Mom was worried that my legs were dragging and she checked out my legs with a flashlight to see if I had any scrapes or missing hair. I don't really remember since it happened so fast, but it seems like I just hopped on and "surfed" to the bottom.

She called Gary and told him what happened, and luckily we were laughing by that time as I was okay. Gary was at lunch too, so he came home to help rescue me.

I didn't know you could do Winter Olympics without the snow, but obviously you can!!!

A G I L I T Y !!!

We finally made it to our agility class and it was SOOO much fun. I am in the Advanced Beginners class so we are doing crosses and sequences and contacts and 12 weave poles!!! Mom was so proud of me as I was focused! I liked watching the other dogs while we waited our turn and wanted to play with the dogs in our group, but as soon as it was our turn, I focused on mom and the equipment. I was jumping 20" and never dropped a bar, Mom and I have done a lot of jumping work and I have learned a lot about the right way to jump. I also did my contacts and held them until Mom released me. And then at the end of each sequence Mom and I would play tug with our new toys. We had so much fun - I can't wait to go back next week!

Will we make it to agility??

Mom has been so worried about me as we are to start agility tomorrow. We have had to postpone our full sessions 2 times because of my injuries. I have been feeling better and no more injuries and guess what.... Mom hurt *her* back this morning. I have no idea what she did, she just picked up her briefcase/laptop and yelped and then put it back down. I sure hope we can go as I am READY!!!
