Welcome to my blog. This is all about me, Edge, and growing up with Mom and Gary. Mom was going to blog but I took over as it is a lot of fun. I am a Weimaraner that loves to hunt, play rally, agility, run, and eat good food. The World is my Playground and you are invited to share my experiences!

Ready to practice!

We are all set at the school to do searches!  This is my "station" where I wait while Mom hides the odor.  I am good and sit and wait, she thinks I peak, but I really don't.  My nose is just THAT good!  After we practiced, I convinced her to take me for a walk in the school yard.  What a great night!

And of course, we can't pass the purple flowers.

I am ready!

Mom can never find her shoes when she tells me we are going out back to play.  So I have it ready to go, no more excuses Mom!

More water fun!

Of course, I had to pose.  Even Gary was wanting me to pose.  I just do not get it, but it is easier to pose and then get back to play!!

Then it was finally time to dry off and go home.

A very pretty view from the park as we were packing up to leave

Park time with Mom and Gary

We went to the park tonight to do our nose work homework.  Mom wanted to do more blind searches in our vehicle search.  Gary kept trying to "stump" me but I am just too good!  Finally he said he wanted permission to hide one that would be really hard.  I heard mom giving him instructions on what to do if I could not find it.  I was just laughing at them as there is no doubt I will find it.

He hid it pretty far back at the corner of the van.  I thought I knew where it was, but my head would not fit in there.  (Mom says I have a big head)  I kept working all around and back and forth and finally "called" it.  I was right!!  Gary said he was done.   haha

After nose work, I went to the water again and my trained mom came following behind with the bumper.  We played for a long time in the water and I was able to cool off and run!

Snoopy!

I knew there was a reason we liked Snoopy so well!

and it continues

When Mom got home from work, we had another great dinner with leftovers from our cookout.  Then I got MY dinner and then we packed up to go to training.  Tonight was open training and there were only 3 of us there so we got to do a lot of fun things.

We worked on ring entry, set up with pocket hand, heeling games and then we did nose work on our break.  First we worked the hide in the little entry way and the second time we worked it in the bathroom.  They really do use the bathroom at nose work trials, so now is the time to start practicing.    We also did some gloves, scent articles, and more heeling games with figure 8.   When we got home, Mom let me run in my back yard and I got to chase bunnies!!  Silly bunnies should not be in my yard.

It has been a great day and now I am crashed!!  Can't wait for more fun tomorrow.

Another fun day...

Mom decided to go to work late today since it was the day after a Holiday.  After an early breakfast, we hit the trail at the park.  It was awesome!  It was early, damp, cool and lots of good smells.  There were critters everywhere.  Mom took a picture of me finding the source of the great smells

Here is the beautiful park with me way down on the path.  Mom let me run a lot this morning as we were the only ones in the park.  Well, us and the critters!

My Nose

We are playing nose work and Mom had the video camera and I ran toward her.  Of course, she kept videoing and got my nose.  How appropriate since we are doing nose work!

Waiting my turn

Fun Game

Mom and I have this fun game that earns me cookies!  It is our "creativity" game and she asks me what I can do and I do something.  Then she says, what else can you do? and I do something else.  We do this several times and I keep doing different tricks.  Well tonight she said "do something fancy" so I did a big spin in the air.  She was amazed that I knew something "fancy."  So was Gary...   goodness do they think I don't pay attention?  When there are good treats on the line I know all the special words!!!

Fun Day

I LOVE holidays.  Gary fixed a big breakfast today and I got my own plate of eggs.  YUM!!   I wanted to eat Nique's too (she didn't want them) but Mom would not let me.  Gary said I could have them at dinner.

Then Mom and Gary and I went to the park to play nose work.  Gary would hide the scent and I would find it - FAST!!  :)   He was getting upset as he wanted to "stump" me and he couldn't.  Every time he thought it was more difficult, I would find it faster!  He should know not to challenge the "rock star" nose!   (That is what my instructor calls it)

There was a small pond nearby and I "asked" if I could play in the water.  Actually I went to the water and started wading and looking at Mom telling her to THROW MY BUMPER!  Well, she obediently went to the van, got my bumper and threw it for me :)    I have trained her well!!!  So we all played by the water and had so much fun.

When we got home we had a cookout.  I love cookouts too!  We always have such good foods at cookouts and I get extra.

After a great morning, I laid in front of the fan and Mom gave me a massage.  Mom said that I like massages in front of the fan and Gary said "he just likes massages!"   I think they are both right!

Off for more fun on this great day.....

Happy Fourth of July

Vacation Day

Mom went to a Nose Work trial this weekend WITHOUT me!!  I could not believe she went to do my favorite thing and left me home!!   However, she took today off work so we could go play, so I forgive her.

We are doing line searches this week and Mom took a bunch of stuff to the pavilion and set it all up for me.  We had a lot of families come to watch me work.  They had picnics and played and asked lots of questions.  They were very impressed with what I could do.

This is me on a break, can you tell how much I like this game!
