We went to Cleveland today for Stays and Recalls Level 2 with Deb and Judy. We had a lot of fun and I got to see some of my Cleveland friends, Braylann and Ben. Braylann was really excited to see me and jumped out of the truck and ran circles around me. He is a lot of fun! Mommy was very proud of me as I did everything "perfect." We had to work with a lot of distractions and I gave mom my full attention!

No Nails!

I do not like to have my nails done and mom and Gary gang up on me. Not fair -two against one, and I am just a baby!! I was smart this time though, I crawled back in the bottom of the printer stand so they couldn't get me. I really am a smart boy!!

TRACKING!!

It was a very cold, windy day, but mom thought we could still go tracking as Belinda has a BIG barn and it blocked the wind. We went inside for them to talk and I investigated her building. I even "found" a frozen duck by air scenting. It was in her freezer!!! My nose is really good. Then I played with toys and found good rocks to eat. I had fun tracking, we started with scent circles with lots of good cheese and hot dogs. And I got to play with my glove too! It was a lot of fun. Later we went to Home Depot and worked on leash walking and distractions. I had a lot of fun and met a lot of new people. Wow - it was a long day and I was exhausted by the time we got home.

Eye Cerf

Mom and I went to a really fun place today with lots of Shelties and fun people. The eye test was at a hotel at the airport and Mom told me the story about her getting up really early to get on a plane to come and meet me and then she showed me where Gary came to pick us up when we got home. Can't say I remember it, but she was excited to show me. We had a lot of fun before the test; I met all kinds of Shelties and played with some fun friends. I also got to play with Kaptain, a Havanese, and he thought it was fun to play growl at me. After a while I thought it was rude, so I kept slapping him in the head. We had quite a crowd watching us play. Then I had to go in a dark room and have someone shine lights in my eyes. I was a good boy and mom was happy as I passed my eye cerf. Then mom took me to a really fun store to get a new collar and toy. I love to go pick out my new toys. I get to test a lot of them before I choose the best one!

I had to be a pretty boy again tonight. I still don't see the purpose of this...but for some reason Mom thinks we need to do it. I do have fun while Mom and Sami are talking and I like to play with Sami. Plus she has some really fun toys!!

GOT PIX!

I had a photo shoot with Susan Perry from vwperryphotos.com. She was so much fun and took pictures of me running around in the snow. But she was very patient with me as I tried to sit in that COLD snow. My mommy thinks my pictures are AWESOME! Here are a couple that you can see too!

Walk in the park

Mommy and I took our first walk in the park today. The weather has been so bad since I have been in Ohio that it was not safe to go walking in the park. Well, today it was really cold, but there was no snow or ice. It was so much fun. We climbed little hills and sat on and jumped over telephone poles. I found all kinds of great smells and got to investigate them! I met some great kids and they really liked me :) I can't wait to go back again, it was SOOO much fun.

Camping at home

We woke up this morning to no lights and a cold house. Mommy didn't realize it was cold as I was snuggled with her and kept her warm. When we got up we had to use funny lights and Gary brought in a big heater to warm the house. Then he got out some noisy little red thing to run the power to the sump pump. I guess we had water in the basement too, but I wasn't allowed to go look. Mommy was upset as all my training stuff was on the floor and now under water. Gary used the noisy little machine to get all the water out though, so it wasn't wet for too long. Luckily we had hot water so that mom could warm my food - I was really hungry! As it started to get daylight, mom noticed something in our back yard. After some investigation, she realized our tree was uprooted. She was sad, as she really liked that tree. After she checked out the situation, she let me go out and see too. The dirt from the roots was REALLY good, it was "fresh."

Pig pillow

I love my pig that grammy gave me. The only problem is that it seems to get smaller and smaller and I have a hard time snuggling on it. I still work really hard to fit on it though.

New Coat #3

I have now outgrown both of my coats. Each one lasted about 4 weeks before I could no longer fit in them. It is really cold outside, so mom was running all over today trying to find a new coat for me. No one has any "big" coats as they put them on clearance last month and they are gone. She tried Rock's coat on me but it was WAAY too big. She was able to find one of Rock's "blanket" type coats from when he was younger and modified it to fit me. Hopefully this one will last until Springtime and then next winter I can get my "Big boy" coat.

Food Stand

Today I am officially a "big" boy. It was my first day to eat in the food stand. I couldn't even reach it two months ago and now I'm big enough to eat out of it. It is great except that now I have to sit and wait for release to eat. I didn't think the rules would change??!!

More Snow

When we got home from shopping, it was really snowing. We went out to run and play in the snow. I really needed it as I was getting the zoomies in the house. It was so much fun to run and play and jump and bounce in the snow. Gary threw snow balls at me and after a few I learned how to catch them! I love to eat snow!! I told my brother Chief that I would eat some for him too!! He doesn't get to enjoy all this snow like I do.

Shopping!

We went shopping today and I went in the stores with Mom. We went to the pet store first, and as always, I got one of those great cookies and ate it while Mom was shopping. Mom was trying to find me a larger coat as I am already growing out of my second one. They didn't have any large ones left, just little ones. Then we were looking for a new collar and I *posed* on the shelf under the collars. It looked like a table to me!! Then I saw big boxes of cookies - wow, that sure is a fun place. There are cookies everywhere! They are even down by the floor where a boy like me can reach them and choose the kind I want - one of each!!! Or maybe many of each. Then we went to Home Depot and walked around. I just wanted Mom to take off my leash and let me RUN!! I met a lot of new people and was a very good boy and didn't jump on anyone. I like shopping!!!

Busy Week

Mom and I had a very busy week. She was in training all week and didn't get home until late. I was really worried about her and was barking when she got home, so she was worried about me. You should have seen her fly into the house (don't tell her, but it was pretty funny :) We had class on Wed night, and I got even, I pretended like I didn't even know how to stack. She was not very happy with me as I have been doing a really good job lately. That will teach her to be late every night!! Grandma Debbie told Mom that I got that trait from my mom Stormey, as she is a "get even" kind of girl! Those girls taught me a lot of fun things!!!

Missing teeth

Mom thought it would be cute to take pictures of my missing teeth. They sure are sore, all my front ones came out at the same time. Hopefully I will get my "big boy" teeth very soon.

Agility Trial

Mom took me to another agility trial today. I met MORE people and got to play with other puppies. We sure had fun and made a lot of noise :) I also watched the dogs run agility and saw Dr. Joanne. She even gave me a toy! I sat in Mom's lap and watched the dogs and she and Betsey laughed at me as my feet were "air running" while I was watching! Later I had to go sit in the cold snow and have my picture taken. I really like getting my picture taken, but that snow sure was cold!! Check back later to see my cute pictures!

Cleveland Seminar

Mom and I went to Cleveland for a seminar today and is was FUN!! I got a lot of cookies and met a lot of new people and dogs. What more could a puppy want??!!?? We spent time doing "in your face" recalls and it was really fun when all I had to do was sit there and Mom did all the work :) Then mom threw chicken and I got to run and get it. Later we worked on sitting still, that was a little more difficult, but I was okay as long as the treats kept coming!! We get to go back and do more of this fun training again later. I really like going on road trips with Mom!!

Snow Day

Mom and I had FUN today! They closed her work and she came home early so we could play in the snow. It was so much fun to romp through the fluffy snow and have it falling on my face. We ran and chased and played "find the stick"! Of course *I* had to find the stick in the deep snow! If you look at my new coat, I have almost outgrown it too. And mom thought it would last at least 6 weeks, I don't think so....

Reiki seminar

Mom and I were supposed to go to Cleveland today for a reiki seminar, but the weather was too bad. We thought we could go outside and play, but it was too dangerous and wet. The snow quickly turned into ice and it kept raining and sleeting. We spent most of the day inside playing inside games. I did get a great lunch - a turkey neck! I LOVE turkey necks! As soon as mom gets out my towel, I start spinning and jumping as I know what is coming next - YEA!!

Mom and I went to the store today to get a new coat. She took me with her to try them on as she was not sure what size to get. I ate cookies while she shopped! I had to try on 3 different coats. One of them, a fido fleece, my feet would not even fit through the "leg holes"! What kind of coat is that!!?? We finally got a 20" coat by RCPets. It will keep me dry and warm. Mom thinks that this coat will last me 6 weeks. I guess we will just wait and see.. She keeps threatening to put me in the pretty pink flowered one that she has at home. I already told her what I thought about that when she tried to put it on me - NO WAY!!

Edge play room

This is my play room, it used to be the dining room :) I have a tunnel and a buja board and all kinds of toys. Mom also gets out the bosu ball and other fun things when we play. My pretty boy table is also in there with a mirror so I can pose when mom boosts me up there. I get lots of good cookies and chicken while playing with mom. It is so much fun to play clicker. I like to steal the clicker too!

Mom's helper

Mom has been sick, so I have been a good little helper and snuggling with her. She said I have been a very good boy to rest with her so much. It has been fun, but it is time to PLAY!!!

Happy New Year!!! We had a great New Year's Eve, I had my first shrimp and it was GREAT!! I followed Gary all over the house to get more shrimp. I also wanted to try the champagne, but I was not allowed! We watched a movie after dinner and I chewed a BIG bone waiting on the New Year. I tried to crawl into bed to sleep, after all it is a special day! But mom would not let me, she made me go to my cage. Mom and I ran errands today and I got a new "chuckit" toy. We also went to PetSmart so Mom could weigh me - I weigh 30# now. We had a busy day around the house and we went out and played "fetch the stick."
