More fun in the snow at Alum Creek!

We went back to Alum Creek to run today!! We had to go further down the dam than usual as there were too many people at our normal spot. There was a man following us and I kept an eye on him. I am Mom's protector now and I wanted to make sure he stayed away! Mom told me it was ok, but I looking at him to let him know I was watching. When we headed further back up toward our normal area, he turned around. Then I could run and play as usual and I had a LOT of fun!! It was warmer today.

After about 30 minutes of running, we were heading back to the van and I wiped out on ice! There was one small patch of ice under the snow and *I* found it :( I ran to mom and she rubbed me and then we headed home.

Alum Creek Snow Adventure

We had sooo much fun at Alum Creek today. There was snow on the ground and more coming down, but we ran, climbed the "mountain" and even went snow tracking!! I want to go back tomorrow for more fun in the snow!!

We received our pictures from the October rally trial today. Look how good I am!!

Night time romp in the snow

It started snowing today, but Mom was at work so we could not go out and play in it. She got home late and we all had dinner. She kept talking about the snow and then finally at 8:00 she said, hey, let's bundle up and go play in the dark. YEA!! Best idea I have heard. We bundled up in our warm clothes and out we went. We ran around and chased each other and she threw snowballs at me. I would launch in the air and sail through them. We had a lot of fun.

Crate Games are Fun

Mom and I got two DVDs for Christmas. One was Crate Games by Susan Garrett. I am really good in my crate and know all the rules, so it was an easy start for us. BUT... I got GREAT cookies just for getting in my cage and then sitting when Mom touched the door. Wow, can't get any easier than that. Then I would go in my cage and Mom would walk across the room and call me and I would RUN to her and get cookies. Then she would send me back to my cage and I would get more cookies. I really like playing this game. She has to keep the cage shut or I go in to start the game all over again. Tonight we added a jump to it and then a contact "bottom" and I would run back and forth. Here is a picture in my cage, you can't see my eyes though as Mom but a spongee thing across the top so I do not hurt my head.

We are on break right now and I sure hope we can play again later!

Sad day

Mom had to go back to work today and I did not want her to go. We have had so much fun during the Holidays. We ran, played fetch, played games, trained and just had fun around the house. I really tried to make Mom stay home today or at least delay her leaving. First, I grabbed her brush when she opened the cupboard and then started a fun game of chase. Then I stole her washcloth and shook it so she would tug with me. And then I took her towel. By this time she didn't think it was funny and just let me have the towel. Hmmmm, that was not the plan. She took her shower so I waited on her and then got in the bed and pouted. I looked REALLY sad trying to show her she needed to stay home!



She told me she wanted to stay home with me, but had to go to work. As she was leaving, I stole things out of her briefcase, but she just took them back and walked out the door. I waited until she left and then played tug with Gary. But he ratted me out!! He called Mom and told her that I was playing before she even got out of the driveway. I will get him!!!

Fun in the sun!

Mom and I went out to play today and the sun made it nice, I know because Mom said that was the only reason we could stay outside so long. I ran and played bumper and hunted. We played retrieve and even worked on some fun jumping. Mom and I had a lot of fun. I am so glad she had another Holiday today and was able to stay home and play with me!! And then when we came inside she gave me a really good bone. What a great day!

Happy New Year!!

What a great start to a new year, LOTS of good food and fun. Mom and I have played all kinds of games today and we have had great food to snack on all day. And one of my favorites.... SHRIMP!

F U N !!!!!

When Mom got home she let me out of my kennel and then we started putting on our layers to go outside. I was so excited I was spinning, we haven't been out back to run for a few days. As soon as Mom released me I took off like a shot to the back of the yard. I ran a lot and then Mom threw snowballs at me. Some of them I caught in the air, the others hit me. I just kept powering around the yard and having so much fun.

My Christmas gifts

Look at the my Christmas stocking... it overflows into the basket with all kinds of good treats and toys. And this is just one of my socks of good stuff!!

Merry Christmas!!

There is snow today for Christmas!! YEA!! I got Mom and Gary up at 2:30 this morning and tried to get my gifts, but they made me go back to sleep. I really worked Gary with hugs and kisses, but I had to go back to bed.

Grandma and Grandpa arrive!

Mom and Gary went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa and then brought them home to visit me. I was SOOO excited as I really like to see them. Grandpa plays with me and I like to run through Grandma's legs. I even helped Grandma open her birthday presents.
Then I got on the couch and got all comfy with Grandpa while he rubbed me. It is nice that everyone knows they are supposed to rub me! Then I tried to be sneaky and steal his hat. Very carefully I just stretched over and gently took it between my teeth. But, darned, Mom knew what I was up to and got me.

They stayed and played with me and we watched TV and had a really good time. And they brought good food to share with me from the Cheese Cake Factory. I can't wait to share some of the cheesecake and whipped cream!!!

It has been a very busy day and I am a tired boy, time to take a nap! Santa will be here tonight and we will have another very busy day tomorrow, so I need my rest!

Busy Day

We were up early today and I helped Mom and Gary clean the house and put away all my toys. But I did not think ALL the toys should be put away, so I got my favorites back out of the toy box! Then Mom and I played tug and played on the jump and did all kinds of fun things. We have been playing with metal retrieve toys and Mom was surprised that I did such a good job with them. Gary and I played tug too, I tug harder with Gary!! Mom had to go see the chiropractor today so Gary took me out to run while she was gone.

Then when she got home, I helped her make my new "class mat." I guess this will be the new mat we take to class. I have to test them every step of the way to make sure she is doing it right.

Then we played some more, we did retrieves with my tennis ball dumbbell toy. That is one of my new favorite toys.

Grandma's birthday!

Today is my Grandma's birthday, we called and wished her a Happy Birthday this morning and she is coming to our house tonight to celebrate! I can't wait to see her!

Movie night... followed by pick on Edge night :(

Mom and Gary watched a movie and I got all comfy on the couch. They thought I was pouting as I was not paying attention to them. So they ganged up on me and buried me in toys. And then took pictures and laughed at me. Gosh, that was not nice of them. They did think I looked cute though!

outside to play

Mom and I went outside to play this morning. She was cold because of the wind so we didn't stay outside very long. Hopefully we can go back outside and she will dress warmer, it is winter!!

I was hoping my friends Luke and Buckeye would be out this morning too, but I don't see them. I thought if they saw me waiting, they might ask to come outside. Maybe they will be out this afternoon.

Good start to the Holiday

Rubs by Gary followed by chicken necks for breakfast. And now helping Gary fix eggs with sausage and cheese for my second breakfast - YUM!!

2 days until Santa!!!

The Holiday is officially here!

When Mom walked in the door tonight, she said, it is now officially HOLIDAY!! And I did a little spin dance, I was so excited. Mom has been working a lot (going to work early and staying late) and we have not played as much as usual. She has told me all week, just 3 working days this week. WOOHOO!! I am so excited that she is going to be home with me and we get to PLAY!!! I have had my massage, my adjustments, and now I feel great and am ready to play!!!

And even better yet, Santa will be coming soon and bringing lots of great toys and cookies. What a great time of year.

SUCCESS!

Mom was wrapping gifts tonight and I decided to help! First I took her slipper and put it on her back (she was sitting on the floor.) That didn't get me much, so I took off with it. She didn't even notice?? Huh, that's not right. So I took it back in and dangled it in front of her face, "hey, Mom, look what I've got." Well, that got her attention and then I got cookies for taking it to her (smile). Then I noticed a bag of really great stuff, cookies and bones and toys.. hmm, wonder if that is some of MY Christmas. I really want something early.

So next I stole her pen and took off with it. She got me before I had a chance of earning cookies for taking it back. Then I walked in the middle of her wrapping and started going through the bows. She just told me to go get on my bed. hmmm, this is no fun. What to do... aha! Steal the scissors, you should hear the change in her voice when I have scissors. Especially if I hold them just right.

That did it!! Once I took the scissors she asked if I would be good if she gave me a new bone. Of course I will. Why did it take you so long to figure it out???

I got an early Christmas present!! I hope she wraps gifts again tomorrow :)
