No more pine cones!!

Mom and I have been working for over a week to get rid of the hundreds of pine cones in our yard. They were everywhere and Mom was afraid we would get hurt running and jumping on them. So we have been working a little every night to get rid of them before we bring all the equipment out in the yard. We finally finished tonight! After another 45 minutes tonight - we were done! See how pretty our yard looks now with all the pine cones gone!

Long day

I have had so much fun today and we did so many different things. Now I am tired and ready to crash on my pig pillow!

COOKOUT!!

Woohoo! We are having a cookout tonight for dinner. I am so excited, I was twirling and twirling all over the kitchen trying to make Gary go faster.

I think we are having aspargus too!! I love asparagus. What a great day!

Spring run at the park

Then this afternoon we picked up pine cones in the back yard - they were everywhere! Mom was teasing that she picked up 999 pine cones and still has more to go. I cleaned up the bunny poop :) Until Mom found out, then she made me stop!

New Game

Mom is always so happy to find new games for us to play. And most of the time they are a lot of fun and I can earn good stuff. Well, today I came up with my own game. It is called "retrieve the cell phone." Mom keeps her cell phone on her desk, so I would pick it up and take it around her to the other side of the desk, poke her in the arm and say "look what I have!" She would laugh, take the phone and give me a cookie for bringing it to her. (That is her rule, whenever I bring things to her hand, I get a cookie!) What a fun game it was!!!

Work from home day

WOOHOO!! Today was work from home today and I was so happy! Mom has not worked from home for awhile. We ate breakfast, I had a yogurt bone, took a nap, we went out and played in the nice weather at lunch. It was so nice outside and we ran, and did jumps and heeling and I ate rabbit poop until Mom caught me doing it.

I made a nice pillow in the afternoon and took a nap while Mom worked.


And then we had an afternoon snack of almonds, sunflower seeds, and pistachios! YUM!

At 4:05 we were out the door to run in the sun. It was so nice outside and we played all kinds of fun games. Mom would chase me and I would chase her and then I ran around and around and around the yard. Then she made funny noises at me and I would launch in the air at her. We had so much fun playing.

Back to school tomorrow. I am so happy, I have missed going to school during our LONG break.

Hanging with Squiddy

Mom and I had a great training session tonight. We played with Squiddy and then played hide and seek with Squiddy. Then we did all kinds of fun games, go touch, touch and sit, find it, retrieving, hold, and more I don't even remember. Then we played some more with Squiddy and called it a day. I decided to just hang out with Squiddy while Mom worked.

But then I was so comfy I fell asleep with him.

Staying with Gary

Mom went to a seminar this weekend. She said it is a seminar for me, but she left me home. Now just how does THAT work? How can it be FOR ME when I can't go. I do not understand, but Gary and I had sooo much fun. He played with me, took me out to run, and COOKED for me. Wow, we had great meals.

This is Nique and I waiting to be served our great breakfast. Gary did not pose us, we just knew what to do when the food was put on the counter.


I was assigned "keeper of the bacon." I guarded the bacon while Gary finished breakfast so that it would not disappear.


For dinner we had fish!! My favorite is fish, I love fish. What a great day we had. Gary said Mom comes home tomorrow, only 2 more suppers until she is home.

After a great weekend, lots of fun and play, I am ready for a nap!

Fun run at the school

with GARY!!! Gary has never come to the school with us to run, so I had to show him where we go and how I hunt. I kept making sure he was watching me. He brought a bumper and I would get him to throw it and then get it and drop it so he had to retrieve it. I was just playing with him.

I showed him how I go way out in the field to hunt and he yelled at me to come back. He was very impressed that I keep an eye on Mom.

I am so glad that Gary enjoyed our walk with us.

#5 Ranking in APDT

Mom and I were shocked to learn that I was ranked nationally as #5 in APDT rally RL3 for 2011. We had very limited showing due to all my health issues last year. What a super surprise!!

Play outside!!

Mom and I had so much fun today. We went out early and set up all our jumps so we could play. I got to run and Mom and I chased each other and we did a few jumps to just warm up.



This was before we set up our high jump, but you can see how much fun I am having running in my back yard.

After lunch we went out to practice and I did great! I did 2 perfect directive jumping exercises. Mom was proud of me and I was too :) Then we worked on retrieving over the jump and on the flat AND our broad jump. Mom always makes the broad jump fun as I never know what she is going to do. I know what *I* am supposed to do, but she always throws new fun stuff at me. Sometimes I leap in the air and smile at her when she is silly. And other times she throws cookies behind her and I get to chase them.

After another rest, we went out to play again and worked on other go outs. They were more difficult as Mom really made me think! Then we did some other jumping and I really wanted to heel!! I like to heel. So we did our figure 8 drills. I really have to pay attention as Mom throws in different turns here and there, she doesn't always follow the pattern. But it was fun and I earned jackpots!!

I sure hope we can play again tomorrow. I am ready for nice weather so we can play outside!

Good way to start our week

Mom and I went to play obedience today with all our friends. I wish we could go every week as it is SOOO much fun. We have all kinds of things going on at the same time and we have to focus on what WE are doing and not pay attention to anyone else. I am getting very good at this now and Mom is always telling me how proud she is of me. Then we do team stuff and I play crate games for 2 hours. Mom does not zip my cage and I cannot come out without permission. Well, I did one time today as I thought for sure Mom released me and I saw Pauline walking by. Every one gives me a lot of attention as they think I am handsome :)

I can't wait to go play again!!!

I AM a lapdog

I really am a lapdog, just look! I love to sit on Mom's lap.

Run outside

I looked really sad today and convinced Mom to take me out to run. It really wasn't too bad as the sun was out when we were running. I was so excited to be out in the snow and I ran and ran and ran as fast as I could. Mom would not let me stay out for long so we did two short trips outside. But I was so happy!! Mom couldn't take any pictures as she was all bundled up to keep warm. But I had snow all over my nose as I was snow tracking.

GOOD helper!

I am a good helper in the kitchen. I could even wash all the dishes if Mom would let me :)

Cookie making day

Mom and I were going to go run today, but Mom said it is too cold and windy. So we are going to make cookies instead! I really like cookie making day but would really like to go run.

Maybe we can rent the building again and then I can run AND play!! :)

Mom playing with software again

SNOW!!

Mom and I played in the snow tonight. I really like playing in the snow, but my favorite is catching snowballs. We really haven't had any good "snowball" snow yet this year. Mom tried really hard to make snowballs but it didn't work very well.

I did run full speed around and around the back yard. Mom tried to "get my butt" as I ran, but I was faster and I could dart in and out around her. We had so much fun playing outside.

Mommy says I'm smart...

but I just wanted to make sure she filled ALL my bones.

I get a frozen yogurt bone every morning when Mom goes to work. She pulled out the 3 on the counter and got out all the "bone making stuff" and told me what she was doing. I still had the empty one from today in my kennel so I ran over and got it and took it to the kitchen. Mom kept telling me how smart I was and then told me to bring it to her. I picked it up and gave it to her so she could fill it too! I'm glad she thinks I'm smart, but it was my belly talking!
