Welcome to my blog. This is all about me, Edge, and growing up with Mom and Gary. Mom was going to blog but I took over as it is a lot of fun. I am a Weimaraner that loves to hunt, play rally, agility, run, and eat good food. The World is my Playground and you are invited to share my experiences!

No Stinkin Antlers!

I can't believe they want me to wear these silly things. They know better than to even try. I DO NOT like things on my head!

FUN FUN FUN

I was so happy to go play this morning, it was so exciting. Mom asked me if I wanted to go to school and I thought, go to school in the morning? I have never been to school in the morning. When we got there the Shelties were running around playing so Mom and I walked outside for awhile until class time. Then when the other dogs came, we played the "see it" game. Then we did fun games and I did so good!!! Mom gave me lots of cookies and I even got to chase cheeseballs. Then we set up a jump and worked on our sends over the jump.

Did I say I had fun?? I hope we get to do that again!!!

Mom thought I did good too since I haven't got to run for awhile. I got a little excited one time, but Mom was teasing me and telling me how awesome and great I was and I just sort of exploded straight up, several times!

Woohoo!

I get to go to school tomorrow!!! Mom surprised me tonight and told me that we get to go to school. It has been over a month since we have been and I really miss it. Cindy rented the building and there are 5 of us going to play. I can't wait!!! The training bag is packed, the chicken is cooked and cut and all the cheese is cut too. Mom's been busy tonight preparing and I have been helping!!

Newspaper

I always see Gary take a book or newspaper to the bathroom, so I did too. But now what do I do with it??? Why does he do that??

Ready for Santa

My sock is out and ready for Santa to fill! Although I doubt it is large enough for all my gifts (I have been a GOOD boy.) Mom will have to put a basket out too so the overflow can go in the basket. I can't wait!!!

How to open the cookie jar.

I found the key to the cookie jar this morning. Mom had to replace our cookie jar, she was really sad as my great-grandpa Rock won it when he was one year old. It has been our cookie jar for long time. It finally broke in too many places, so Mom got another one. I figured out this morning if I stand up and hit the lid just right with my nose, it slides over and I can get an entire mouthful of cookies. Too bad Gary was watching when I did it!! And then he told Mom that I was the reason the other one broke. HUH?? I never broke the other one.

Fun Night!

Playing in the snow and then playing in the training room. We even played retrieve with the dumbbell. Mom always tries to surprise me with it but I always wait until she releases me. I really like playing dumbbell retrieves. We are on break now (I think *Mom* needs the break) but we are going to play some more later. We had fun heeling sessions too and Mom would surprise me by tossing cheese balls for me to run and eat. What a great night!

The perfect end to a perfect day

What a great day Mom and I had today. We had so much fun and did so many different things. Not to mention chicken necks for breakfast and salmon for dinner. YUM!!! Now to relax with my favorite kind of bone.

This one's for Mom

Of course I have to pose for a picture. Whenever Mom has the camera, she always wants me to pose one or two times too....

I know there is a critter

When we were playing I knew there was a critter hiding from me

If I get in there close, I can see him! Come out you critter!

I will pounce you out!

Ok, I guess I will come in and get you!

Mom was a little slow today

This is how much fun I had!

Running in the snow

I got to run in the snow!! As soon as Mom released me through the gate I put it in high gear and I was GONE!! It was so much fun to just RUN

I just ran and ran and ran, and slid around corners and around trees. All I heard was Mom telling me easy and be careful and funny noises when she thought I couldn't slide around something. I went back and forth and back and forth as fast as I could. I would run around trees, take the corner through the shed and then turn the other way to go through the gate and start all over again. I was running so hard I made snow fly!! It was soooo much fun.

SNOW

The snow is sticking and even stuck on me!! Mom had to towel me off when I came in as it was tickling my back.

I can't wait until there is more and we can go throw snowballs!!!

BIG distraction

Mom found a big distraction that she can use at home. We work on our signal exercises A LOT and I am great at them. Today we were doing figure 8s around food bowls and there were cheese balls in one of the bowls. I did good and only looked. Then Mom left me sitting beside the bowl with cheese balls and started our signal exercises with the cheese balls RIGHT THERE. Well, I did a great down and looked at them and then I just could not do anymore. Mom had to walk up to me to get me in my sit. Well, guess what I will have to start doing....

Off to do signals by the cheese balls... the only good thing is that hopefully I will get to EAT THEM when I do well.

and hopefully off to play in snow later today!!!!! I have been waiting!

Outside to play!!

I finally got to play outside - two times!!! It was so muddy though that I had to have my feet wiped before going inside, I really do not like to have my feet wiped off!

But I guess it was worth it as I got to run and jump and retrieve. Mom and I played bumper and then we used the bumper to do some "retrieve over the high jump" and I did a great job!! I started to go around it when I returned, but Mom signaled me to go toward the jump and said over and I knew exactly what to do. It was fun!!

I was hoping the snow would stay as it would have been more fun to play in the snow than the mud, but I'm sure that will happen soon.

Chicken necks!

I was outside playing and came inside to a sink full of chicken necks!! woohooo! Mom was sneaky, she never told me about them and brought them in while I was outside. I helped her clean and bag them and I got to snack on some too! Now I have lots of chicken necks for breakfast for the next few months. I can't wait for breakfast tomorrow to get more.

Oh, but I do want to go outside and enjoy this afternoon first!! Mom has promised all week that we will get to go outside and PLAY!! It has been a long week for us and I have not been able to do much so I am so excited for this weekend.

Rubs by Gary

After my big day, I crashed on the couch and enjoyed nice rubs by Gary.

Enjoyment

I am enjoying the piece of wood that I found!

A Great Day

It started snowing and Mom and I went out to play again. It wasn't snowing very much, but there were snow flakes! I went out back and found this great piece of wood to play with. I was running and throwing it in the air and catching it and pouncing it. It was so much fun.

Toilet paper tales

I have loved paper since I was a little tiny puppy, even before I met Mom. As soon as I came home with her, she had to put up all the toilet paper as I would grab it and run through the house. How much fun that was!! Well, this past week, Mom thought that since I was 2 now and more mature that the toilet paper could go back on the holder. Ha! I watched Mom take it and pull it and wow, that looked like fun. So, I took it and pulled it and RAN!! woohoo! Toilet paper through the house. Then I tore it all up and decorated. Since we didn't get snow outside, I made it look like snow inside. But I only got to do it once, the toilet paper is back in the basket where I can't reach it :(

More pictures from our fun morning

Mom and I went out to run and..

play this morning.

It was cool and crisp and lots of good smells!

Then back in the house for training time! Woohoo!!

My favorite kind of "down and back"

This is how I like to do the "down and back" :)

Congratulation Dollars

My Grandma sent a card and congratulation dollars to me for my rally championship. I was so excited as Mom and I were just headed out to run errands. So I got to go to the store and get my favorite cookies (duck and cinnamon) and a new bone. Just in time since Gary got a movie for tonight. While they watch a movie I can chew my new bone.

I am lucky to have such a special Grandma!!! I always get nice surprises from her.

Fun Night!

As soon as Mom got home, we bundled up so we could go run for a few minutes before dark. I have not been out to run for 2 days because of the mud and dark and I am going bonkers. Mom wanted to make sure she "took the Edge off" of me (isn't she funny??!!) The only bad part of running right away is that I have to wait on dinner. I do not like waiting for my dinner.

Then we played for an hour!! We had so much fun and did so many different things. We did jumping exercises and crate games and recalls and doggie zen (I am getting very good at this game.) We made all our normal games a lot more fun tonight. Mom said that I have reached another level of maturity and she can tell a difference in me. Not sure what she is talking about, but I sure had fun playing!
