In, On, but no under...

Mom and I are participating in a shaping class and our lesson for the weekend was "IN" "ON" and "UNDER." Well, we mastered the in and on in less than 20 minutes with lots of fun. However, the under part does not work for us. Mom's legs are too short and I am too big. We tried it, but Mom fell over and I couldn't move so we had a good laugh and I gave her kisses for trying, but back to the drawing board on that one. I know she did not give up, she has been walking through the house saying "what could he get under?" I think I am in trouble...

I can't wait for the Easter Bunny to come tonight. He always brings me such great things!

My jumps are DONE!!

It has been a real family project to get all my new jumps done. Grandma gave us the jump cup strips for Christmas, Mom and I ran and got all the PVC parts and Gary cut the 120 pieces that we needed. Then Mom and I spent many nights putting them all together.

Today Mom went out in the garage with the drill and drilled all the posts and put the jump cups on. So THEY ARE DONE!!!

Of course I had to pose with them.

More bunny parts

Gary was getting ready to cook dinner on the grill and I went out in the back yard. I found a bunny leg in the same place I found the headless bunny yesterday. I started to chew it, but Mom took it -again!! We took it to Gary and asked him to put it on the grill :) You should have seen him hold his grill shut. I think he was worried that we really would throw it on the grill!!

School play

Mom took me to the school to run and play today. She said I had 20 minutes to have fun and had to be careful. She is slowly working me back, which is no fun. This is me on my way to run, follow me Mom....



I found this tall grass, there has to be something in there. That is where the critters always hide!


Nothing in there, so had to go to the good ole hunting grounds....



We had so much fun, even if it was only 20 minutes. We always have fun when we go play!

Why did I give up my bunny????

Mom and I were in the yard and she was ready to go in the house, but I found something good. Mom was almost to the house and saw me playing with it. She finally came to find out to see what I was having so much fun with. I found a headless baby bunny and was tossing it in the air and catching it. When Mom got close, I put it in my mouth and ran around. She saw the little feet sticking out of my mouth and asked me what I had.

She finally asked me to bring it to her, so I did... then she put me on a sit stay in the middle of the yard while she got rid of it. She promised me lots of cookies for being so good, but I don't know, I can earn cookies doing much easier things.

Now I wish I would have kept my treasure.

Box destroyer

It is great when we get packages, I love to shred the boxes. It gives me a good workout :)

Alligator!

I was on my back on my bed in the office. I had my mouth partially open and Gary started sticking his hand in my mouth and teasing me. Then he thought he was funny and said "let's play alligator" and started to stick his hand in my mouth. Well, I watch Swamp People with Gary and I know what an alligator is. I came up off my bed and went after Gary's hand.... hhmmmm, you should have seen how fast he moved :) Guess he didn't think I could be a real alligator :)

Rough Week

I have had a difficult week. Mom is still trying to figure out exactly what is causing my pain, but is taking good care of me. She and Gary are rubbing me and catering to my every need (kind of nice :) I could get used to this! This is me with my Back On Track blanket and my IR ZEB.

Spring Cleaning

Mom and Gary decided to do some Spring cleaning today, so of course I had to help. I wasn't quite sure what to do until I saw the scrub brush - that is my kind of job!!


That was a lot of fun, but then they started moving all my stuff around. Mom even took everything out of my kennel. That is MY kennel. I just couldn't handle everything being moved, I had to go relax.

Fun Day

Mom and I had so much fun today. We played in the back yard, I got to run and hunt and play fun games with Mom. Then we went to train with Pauline in Chase in that great big FUN building. I was so excited when I figured out where we were going.

We set up all the rings and equipment and then we did fun run thrus. I got to do open and I was great!! :) I love to play with my dumbbell and jump. Then we did go outs and directive jumping and fun drills. Then we played gloves where Chase and I ran toward each other to get our gloves, that was fun too. And then to end we did the recall game. After everything was put away, we did recalls the full length of the building. And to celebrate we got to chase toys. It was so much fun and I was so tired when we left.

But.... by the time we got home and ate dinner, I was ready to run again. Mom and I went out in the back yard one more time before dark. And then I crashed!!

A Real Service Dog

Mom always teases that she will take me here or take me there as her "service dog." But she never does it :( Well, I showed her I really could be her service dog! She had a sore neck and a headache and was on the couch with an ice pack on her neck. Every time she moved it fell and then she had to figure out how to get it back in place. So, she decided to ask me for help. Whenever she needed something, she pointed at it and asked me to "bring it." I love to carry things and I love to help Mom, so this was fun. I would get things and take them to her. She was so proud of me!!

COOKOUT!!

I guess Edge day is complete. The cookout definitely is for me :) Gary even had to roll the grill under the roof as it started raining before the food was done.

What a super duper weekend - we have had so much fun, done so many things and ending it with a cookout! Doesn't get much better than this.

Edge Day (continued)

After we made food, Gary cut all the PVC to make my new jumps. Grandma got us jump cups for Xmas and now we are making all our new jumps for Spring. You should have seen Gary's face when he read the list and had to the PVC into 120 pieces. He did it really fast though on his big saw that makes lots of noise. Mom put some of the jumps together, but still a lot more work. She ordered purple and yellow tape so they will match all my other equipment. And she has to make one black one for my Obedience bar jump. This is for me to use, but I think it is just as much for Mom too :) No pictures of the jumps yet as they still need a lot more work.

Then when we got done with all of that, Mom and Gary carried the deck box into the back yard to put all my ring gating in. Mom ordered ring gating so we can practice go outs, directive jumping and happy ring time play. Of course Mom had to set it up and we played a little bit too and then of course I had to pose for pictures :)

Edge day

That is what Mom is calling today, everything she and Gary is doing is for me. Or so they say.. We started our day making food - ok, yes, that is for me :) And I got to taste test a lot of it. They took all the fat off 80# of chicken necks (yes, for me) and then ground 40# and another 40# of chicken leg quarters. And then we bagged 40# of chicken necks as I get them every morning for breakfast. Then we ground lots of livers too, those are really good.
You can see me with the big bowl of food being the taste tester and then getting caught -ooops!

I am ready to go play. It is spring outside and time for us to move outside with our training. I have the cones, now I just need to get Mom to follow me!
