New exercises

I started my new exercises today for my leg and I really enjoy them. I get to walk on the dogwalk ramps and the aframe for flexibility. It is about time I get to play on my toys again. I'm still not allowed to run, but things are getting a little better since I get to play.

COOKOUT!

Mom and I drove to Dayton today to see Jean. She worked on my leg and had me walk up and down ramps. It was a lot of fun! I finally got to DO something. When we got home mom set up our back yard so that I will have ramps at home to walk up and down.

At dinner time I was really upset as I didn't get as much food. I looked at mom, like "hey, where's the rest of it??" She told me to be patient and I would get some really good stuff. Then I saw Gary putting all the meat on the grill - YUM! And even better, I saw the shrimp on the counter, I LOVE shrimp. And then I found the beans! I am pretty good about not stealing stuff off the counters as it does not make mom happy when I help myself, but I just could not stay away from the beans! The Bush's beans dog "Duke" sure is right - they sure are good beans!! I hope he can steal the recipe and give it to me :) Mom and Gary thought it was funny that I would steal the beans with all the other good stuff on the counter. But then Gary was a little worried and was laughing since I ate beans.

I had shrimp and chicken and hamburger and beans and a little bit of corn. The corn on the cob looked really good too, so mom gave me a little bite to try. I think the butter was the best part!
I really like cookouts!

Good Helper!!

I helped mom clean house today, it was so much fun. I think the best part was the look on her face when she saw my contribution. Gosh, it was only a half a roll of paper towels!

Playing in the Sun

It was so nice outside today and since I can't run in the yard, I was sunning my belly.

Strained Tendon

Mommy and I are very bored! I was hurt playing in the yard and started limping. Then the next night when we went to work, after a few minutes I started limping again. Dr. Karen said I strained my tendon. We are not supposed to do anything for 4-5 weeks. I just don't think I can be quiet for that long. Mom thought I was doing well and then when we went to bed, I ZOOMED back and forth from the bedroom to the bathroom. I was just bubbling with energy. Mom and I are playing quiet games, but it doesn't help me get rid of all my energy!! I got to walk in the yard last night and eat cookies, that was okay, but I still want to RUN!!

Puppy Match Group 2

We went to Cleveland today for a puppy match. It was nice and sunny, but the wind was very cold. The Sporting Group was the biggest group and we had a long time to wait our turn. I posed for pictures for mom and we worked on some recalls too. When it was my turn in the ring I was a very good boy. Mom was happy with my stacking, I am learning to lean into my stack and hold it longer. We also got to play in the group ring since there were lots of dogs there. It was a fun day.

Remodel!

Gary put a wood trim around my doggy door and I did not like it. I showed him what I thought about that! I bet he doesn't do that again.

Elk Antler

I have another new toy - an Elk Antler. I think it is fun to carry it around and bark at it. Everyone thinks I look really cute, like I have a tusk! It is fun to throw it in the air and then run and grab it. Don't I look cute :)

First Hotel Stay

Mom and I stayed in a hotel and it was fun! At first I did not understand why we were just staying in this big room. I kept asking to go outside as it seemed like the place to be. But then mom got out all my toys and I had fun playing and even fell asleep with them. It was a lot of fun, but I was glad to be home!!!

Van crate

I posed for mom to take pictures of me in my crate in the van. I have a nice plushy bed so I can ride in comfort. I even have a pillow that I can lay my head on while we are driving.

New Food!!

Mom came home tonight with almost 100# of food - oh my gosh, now THAT is exciting. I have new things to try too - I can't wait!!! There were lots of big bones to chew too and turkey feet! I loved playing with my turkey feet.

New Bully Bully

Mom took me to the store today to get a new "bully bully" - I am so happy! I also helped her make yogurt bones, but shhhh! she doesn't *know* I helped her :)

First Show - First Major!

Mom and I went to my first "big boy" show today. We went really early so that we could play and mom wanted me to get used to being in a cage at the show. Not really sure why she thought that was a big deal, all I could do was watch, sleep or chew my bone. But she was proud of me for being a good boy. I got to see a lot of people and very different looking dogs, some even wanted to play with me. It was finally my turn, and armed with chicken and salmon, mom and I entered the ring. I still did not think I should stack, but I did it anyways. Then we ran around the ring with the other dog, mom said I did a very good job. I had to stack again, but the judge was very nice to me and knew I was a "baby" puppy. I did a great down and back and mom was very proud. We went around the ring one more time and we won!! The judge gave us a pretty blue ribbon and I tried to eat it! We had to wait a little while and then we went in the ring again. This time there were a lot more dogs and they were older than me. We went around the ring and then the judge wanted to see me do another down and back, gosh, how many times do I have to do this?? Then we went around again and she pointed at mom - mom was really excited about that. And we got another ribbon, I tried to eat it too! We went back to our cage and mom gave me a bunch of chicken and then I wanted ice. I really like to eat ice!! After we celebrated we went to see Sami and I jumped all over her, mom had to make me settle down. She told us that she thought that was a major!! Wow - a major at my very first show. We didn't have time to check it out as we had to go back in again! Again, why again?? This time there were even more dogs in the ring. But I did my thing and let mom stack me, even though I still do not know why we have to stack??? Finally, we are done... but mom was really happy and very pleased with me (I was pleased with me too :) We had to wait awhile and then we went to get a picture with the judge. I got up on a big box and had to stack AGAIN! wow, when does this stop?? I was so glad when mom asked if I was ready to go home. I had a lot of fun, but I was tired.

It's Easter!!

The Easter Bunny brought me lots of toys and a "bully bully"-my favorite!!!!

I had so many fun things in my basket, but I grabbed "bully bully" and ran in the dining room. I was so excited. I didn't even eat my big cookie. Later mom and I went out back to play with my new toys. We had so much fun playing!

HOPPY EASTER!!

I am so excited for Easter. I have been such a good boy, I just know the Easter bunny will bring me lots of nice things. I am starting my celebration early!

My new toy

I am so proud of my new toy that I won. I have never WON a toy before!!! I take it everywhere with me. It is my NEW favorite toy.

First match - Group 3

Mommy and I went to our first puppy match today. I had so much fun playing at the site, we ran to the lake, played games in the building, and watched foofoo dogs get their hair done. Boy am I glad I don't have to do all that stuff!! I was very proud of myself and used my toy for a pillow all the way home. I couldn't wait to show Gary my new toy when we got home.

Tunnel Fun

We played in the back yard today and mom said I had a GREAT 2o/2o. But something about doing on the wrong obstacle?? How could it be great if it were not on the right obstacle? I don't know, but I sure had fun playing.

Spring Day

What a great day it was. We played in the yard all day, it was so nice outside. Mom and Gary got all kinds of great toys out of that little building out back. Now I have my very own playground in my backyard. It was a lot of fun jumping over the tunnel, but mom tried to explain to me that is not how it works. Then we got out furniture for outside. By the time we got everything out and washed and set up, Gary and I were pretty tired. I am resting so that Mom and I can go play on that fun equipment!!!

Pizza Delivery

OH MY GOSH!! The most exciting thing happened tonight. The doorbell rang, Gary answered the door and the guy gave us a pizza. How exciting is that!! Someone come to your door and give you food. I was so excited, I was launching off Gary and got the zoomies and ran through the house. I can't wait until that guy comes back again... it was really good pizza.

Rally Class

We started rally class tonight and it was so much fun. We went to a new place, so it was all new people and dogs. How fun is that!!??!! I really enjoyed all the fun exercises and the animated dogs that were our distractions. We got to do a rally course and I walked up to the first sign and knocked it over and then wagged my tail at it. It was pretty funny! :) It seems like it is a sporting dog rally class as most of the dogs are sporting dogs. There is a really cute girl named Maggie that I really like too. She was a big distraction to me, I noticed her as soon as we walked in the door.

BIG day!

We had a full day today. We got up early and went to Dayton for our Fitness seminar. It was a lot of fun. Mom and I learned how to exercise together and do a lot of fun things. Everyone was laughing and dancing to the music. We got to walk up and down the big ramp and around in circles with all the other people and dogs. Carol brought pictures from our last seminar and gave to everyone and she took more pictures today.

Then we headed to Milford to go to a puppy match. Mom was very happy with my performance. She knew we would have stacking issues, but I did everything else perfect. I kept the right speed in my gaiting, did nice free stances and gave her my full attention. We also played a lot of games in between our two times in the ring. I could tell that mom was very happy with me.

Bully Bully!

I love my "bully bully" (that's what we call them!) I even stopped chewing for a few minutes to pose for the camera. This is one of the toys that I picked out all by myself. Whenever we go to the petstore to play, I get to pick out one thing. I think this may be my favorite.

My NEW favorite toy

I always try to steal the toilet brush out of the bathroom, so mom bought me my own toilet brush. She tells everyone this is new and CLEAN! Like it matters....
