Food making day

We had a great time today, we made veggie mix!!! I decided that I REALLY like veggies and apples and celery are my favorite. I ate an entire apple by just nibbling it little by little. It was FUN! Then Gary gave me a small stock of celery to play with. The carrots were okay, but not as good as the apple!! We also packaged 50# of chicken, 5# of chicken offal, and a total of 10 qts of veggie mix. I really like Mom's veggie mix as she puts honey, ACV, and garlic in it. I was eating it too!!!

Great week at class

Mom and I had conformation class on Wednesday and I did great!! We worked on my gaiting and I did so much better. Mom and Sami were both proud of me :) I also did wonderful stacks and free stances. I was a VERY good boy and mom told me so!! We also practiced on Thursday night and I did great then too.
We had rally class on Friday night and that was FUN! I did 2 advanced courses - off leash! This is only the second time I have done off leash courses in class. It was a lot of fun and I was a good boy!!! I tucked my butt and ran once (when mom did a running call front) but I turned and went right back to her and kept working. She told me that was very good!!

The incredible shrinking pig!!

Can you believe how much my pig is shrinking?? I used to be able to curl up on him and sleep, now I am lucky to have my head fit on him? I bet Mom put in him the dryer or something. Have you ever known anything to shrink this much?? I just don't understand.... I think Mom needs to buy me a new pig that I can sleep on again and keep it out of the dryer!! I pulled an old picture to just to show how much smaller this pig is!

First Rally Q!!

Mom and I went to Medina today for an APDT Rally Trial. Mom thought I needed to work in a new place with distractions and that is why we went. Well, I showed her, I did GREAT and even got a Q and a 3rd place. I was distracted a couple of times because I saw the dog in the other ring, but I just looked and then went back to work with mom. Everyone there thought I was handsome and very well behaved :) I met all kinds of new friends! Mom and I had a lot of fun. I can't wait to do that again!!!

Morning walk

Mom took another vacation day today and we got up and took a LONG walk. It was so much fun to go early in the morning and walk the path. I saw my yellow lab friend again too. She is really cute and a lot of fun to play with. She is one month older than me. Even though it was cool, I was very warm after walking 3 miles.

Marion show

Mom, Gary and I went to Marion Sat and Sunday. I was excited to have Gary go with us, but not very excited to do conformation. I won my class both days, but then I did not feel like doing much more after that. Mom thought the judge really liked me, but I didn't cooperate for winner's dog. I still do not know why she thinks this is important. On a positive note, a friend gave us this wonderful picture from our last show.

FUN at the pond

Mom and I went to the pond today after going to Marion. It was so much more fun playing and retrieving in the water! I was a very good boy and would get my toy and take it right to mom. I really enjoyed swimming today too. Then we went to rally class, we had a BUSY day! I did my very first advanced, off leash course and I was great!!

ALUM CREEK....HERE WE COME!!!

I have finally been released to do some trotting and to take 30 minute walks - HOORAY!!! Mom and I went to Alum Creek and I have been such a good boy with my recalls and checking in with Mom, I got to play off leash. I had so much fun and was such a good boy. You can tell by this picture just HOW much fun I had. I hope you enjoy my movie as much as I enjoyed making it!!!

Handsome Boy!

Well, at least that's what Mom and Gary keep telling me. I guess this stacking stuff is not so bad after all. At least I get some pretty good cookies for doing it. My brother, Chief, really likes this stuff and I tried to bribe him to stand in for me :) I even told him I would send him all my bully sticks! I wouldn't want to do this all the time, but it is okay some of the time. Mom and I play a lot of other games so that really helps.

HOT & TIRED!!!

Mom and I went for a walk today on the trail. It was nice when we first started but then we got in the sun and we got really hot. Luckily Mom brought a backpack with ice water and a bowl for me. I drank a lot of water. It was fun though, I saw all kinds of bicycles and roller bladers and even got to play with a lab puppy. She was a lot of fun!!! After our walk we sat down in the grass under a big tree and drank water and cooled off.

Great Rally Class

Mom and I had a great time at our rally class tonight. My friend Trio is now in my class and it is hard for both of us to focus as we like to play. But Mom was very proud of me as I was able to heel with the group for the entire time, and that was with Trio right beside me. I have never been able to pay attention for the entire group heeling, but I was really good tonight. Mom told me how proud she was of me :) I also did a very nice course and did attentive heeling. Then we got to play on the jump and that was a lot of fun!!! Mom was getting a little stingy with the cookies though, so I would "tap" her hand to remind her that I needed a reward. I think she missed some great things that I did so I had to remind her! (I have to keep her on her toes at times!!!)

See paper towel - RUN!!!!

BOY!! Mom is obsessed with getting rid of my great smell. I don't know why she is so determined to get rid of it. She has tried so many different things my ear is sore. She has used shampoos, oils, baking soda, tomato juice, you name it. Now I just RUN! if I see her looking at me with a wet paper towel.

PEEE-YEWWWW!!!!!

Well, that's what Mom keeps telling me, but I think I smell good! I found some great smelling droppings in our backyard tonight and ran my head and ear all through it. It was really fun until Mom found me and she wasn't very happy (she had been picking up rally signs so I got a head start. ) Even when she found me I kept wiggling around in it and kicking my feet in the air. The bad part came when we headed in the house and straight to the bath tub. Then I had to get my ears cleaned out as I guess the "stuff" was inside my ear too. I did a good job!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

The shrimp is AWESOME!

Hope you are having as much fun as I am!! We had a cookout with LOTS of good food and Tiger shrimp!!! YUM - I LOVE shrimp and this shrimp was HUGE!! Mom said my eyes were bigger than the shrimp when she showed it to me. And it was really good. Then we had hamburgers and chicken (I always love grilled chicken!) and potato salad. It didn't stop there either, we had brownies with cream cheese frosting with ice cream and fudge. I was dancing by this time, there was so much good food!!

We also went to Trace's ball game and I got to see all the kids. The kids are so much fun, they were even fighting over me as every one wanted to hold my leash. The best part is that they really like to give me cookies, so I get a LOT of cookies at the ball games :) Trace's team won too - YEA!!!

Cavalettis!

Gary made cavalettis for me, YEA. I really enjoy playing on my cavalettis. I wasn't quite sure what Mom had in mind when she was carrying everything outside, but then I realized what they were and I couldn't wait to go through them.

My Workout/Play Room

I have taken over the dining room! All of my exercise and training equipment now fill the dining room. I used to use a small part of it but now I have taken over! I like playing with all the different stuff though, mom and I have a lot of fun!! It is now my special room :)

What???!!!??

New Toy for ME!

Mom and I went shopping and I got a great new toy. It is a huge purple spider, it is so much fun to throw it around. I also like to carry it around with me. Don't I look funny with all those legs coming out of my mouth :)

Aren't I Cute!!

Mom and I stayed home all day today and just did things around the house. It was too humid to do too much outside, we went out a few times. We worked on a lot of different things today and played a lot of new games.

Flip Flops are GREAT!

I love flip flops. When we had our pictures taken, Penny (the photographer) flipped off her flipflops and I grabbed one before it even hit the ground. It was a good way to start!! It was funny because it already had teeth marks in it as her dog likes them too! Then at class tonight one of the girls slipped off her flip flops while we were watching demos and I almost got her flip flop too. But mom was watching me and caught me just as I was ready to grab it!!! Ha - but I got her, I took mom's flip flop!!! Why doesn't everyone wear flip flops, they are fun shoes.

Seminar

Mom and I went to another seminar with Deb and Judy today. I had a lot of fun and met a lot more dogs. There was a cute little girl lab that crated beside me, she was really cute! :) We worked on impulse control and heeling. I did a very good job and mom was very proud of me. At least I can do some leash walking and rally, I just am not allowed to stack or gait. Darn, how dissapointing :)

Weim Specialty

We are not going to the Weim Specialty this weekend because of my injuries. There are 4 shows and 4 majors this weekend as well as 2 sweepstakes! It would have been fun to go out of town with mom and see all the other Weims!

Too much energy

Well, I have had enough "rest" and I exploded off the deck and got hurt again :( I launched in the air and landed in the potty yard on my front feet and knees. I heard mom scream behind me, but it was too late. She ran down to see if I was okay, so I shook it off. Dr. Karen said I pulled a groin muscle, but it should be healed by the time my leg is. The worst part is that I cannot do many of my exercises now. DARN! that was the only fun I had.

SUCCESS!!

Mom and I went to Home Depot to play tonight and I was a very good boy and really gave her all my attention. I had fun doing all my tricks and the best part was that mom was really excited that I was so focused. I got lots of good treats and got to play tug. This is really FUN!

SWIMMING

I went to the river today to swim! I wasn't too sure at first, but mom just got in the water with some toys and clicked me every time I got close to the water. I finally realized how much fun it was. I slowly got in up to my shoulders and played with my new water toys. Then a man in a l-o-n-g boat came and I went to see him. Gary asked him to go through our area and then sit on the other side. Of course I had to go see what he was doing and I swam out to see him and completely drenched mom and Gary. I did it a few more times and mom helped hold me up. We then had to go get dried off to go home. I tried to get away and get back in the water, but mom got me before I could get back in. I sure hope we can go back tomorrow!!
