Being a model is hard work

Tonight was Christmas card picture night, wow, how can posing be such hard work?  Mom and Gary both worked to get good pictures for our cards.  They had to have them just perfect!  Gary would pose me and Mom would laugh and Gary would tell her to quit laughing at me or I might leave.  Luckily we were in front of the glass door and I kept checking out the handsome dog in the window.  I earned a lot of good cookies for just sitting still.  But we finally had to quit as I could not stay awake.

Good thing they are happy with the pictures.  I can't share or it will give away the surprise of our cards. 

Fun at the school

We got all bundled up today and went to the school to run.  We have not been there for a long time so it was fun to run around and smell all the new smells.  Mom was laughing at me as I was zooming around and smiling because it was soo much fun.  Mom tried to go back to the van and I convinced her to let me hunt a little longer.

My new ride

Mom and I got a "new ride" to take us to all our fun events.  I wasn't quite sure at first, but now I really like it!  We broke it in by taking it to PA for our weekend trip.

But I need it now...

Mom got a new bed for me for Christmas.  Actually it is a furry blanket like she has.  I wanted my own blanket for my kennel as it is soft and warm.  As soon as she brought it in the door I grabbed it and took off with it to my kennel.  She said she must have picked a good one!

Then I got in my kennel and looked really cute to convince her to let me have it now!  I will remember on Christmas, I promise :)

Turkey Day!

Not only is it turkey day, but it is not a work day and we have been outside playing!!  I got to run with Mom and Gary and then play bumper.   It is so nice outside Mom and I could stay outside all day!

And then I got turkey and eggs for dinner! YUM!  What a great day.  

GRRREAT DAY

What a great day Mom and I have had today.  It started with eggs for breakfast, YUM!  Then we went outside to play and Mom set up our training yard for later today.  I got to run and smell all the great smells in my yard.  

When Mom was done we did a few fun things and Mom did not have cookies or toys so I played with her headband instead.  That was fun!  

Next on our agenda was baking cookies!!  I always enjoy baking cookies as I get the batter AND get to be the taste tester.  We made two big batches and I also helped bag them up.

And then we went out to play in our training yard.  We did some agility, just weaves and jumps as Gary already put away all our big stuff :(   Then we did obedience!  I really like doing my go outs and jumping and signals and REALLY like the dumbbell and gloves.  We practiced some new things we learned at the seminar too.  

I wish every day could be like this!

Obedience and SWIMMING

Mom and I met Chase and Pauline for obedience today.  We rented the building to play and help each other on some new focus exercises.  We had so much fun playing and I got to jump big jumps and even did the dogwalk once :)   I did great on my go outs and Mom was so proud of me.  

When we were getting ready to leave, Pauline asked if I liked to swim.  Mom told her no.  She was going to throw bumpers for Chase so said we should just throw bumpers.  Well, when we went to the field/pond, I was very intrigued with the pond.  There were so many great smells.  I ran all around the pond, putting my feet in and putting my head in the water to smell what was in there.  Chase retrieved one bumper from the water and I knew I had to try too.  I chased him with his bumper and then Mom threw mine in.  I was determined to get it.  I tried barking at it, but that really didn't help.  I kept going in and coming out and going in and coming out, but finally swam and picked it up.  Mom was so happy and told me how good I was.  Well, I wanted to try again. and again and again.  It was a blast.  When it was time to leave, we went to the van to get dried off.  I tried to run back to the pond, but Mom got me :)   I cannot wait to do that again, how much fun!! I am glad Chase showed me how much fun it could be.
 

TICKS!!

While Mom and I were on our great trip, I got a tick on my belly.  Mom was really worried as it had a big red ring around it.  She instantly thought I had lyme disease and would not leave it alone.  Finally I had to tell her I was done!  and to leave it alone.  She could not wait to get home to get some CS on it and clean it again.

Mom sent the tick off for testing, just to be sure.  She also has me on supplements to boost my immune system to help fight any disease.  She has been zebbing me and giving me reiki and pulling out all the bad stuff.   I can't wait for the results so she can leave it alone.

Our private lesson

Mom and I had our private lesson this morning and it was really good.  Denise was very complementary of how much we have progressed.  She was very impressed with my moving stand and my go out sit.  She told Mom I was getting bold :)    She gave Mom a lot of great ideas on how to help me do things we have been struggling with.  We worked with her for 30 minutes and learned so much and had LOTS of fun.  I really did not want to leave as we were having a blast.

It was time to pack up and head home.  What a great weekend it was, I really did not want to leave.  I like our morning walks and all the fun games every day.  I sure hope we can do this again soon!

Mom let me take one last walk before loading up and heading to Ohio.

Great hotel walking

We found a great field by our hotel.  We were able to take a long walk this morning before going to the seminar.  I even got to run off leash and I sure did run!   I was really ready to stretch my legs and play outside.  There was no one there since it was Sunday, so we did not have to worry about cars or people at the building.  A great way to start our day.

   

Great day with Denise

What a fun day.  The training building is up on a hill, but there are all different levels so Mom and I got to walk and hunt and walk trails before our seminar even started.  I was so excited when I heard Denise's voice, I even barked in my cage.  I was ready!!  Unfortunately, Mom told me that I was not allowed to talk or I would have to leave.  That just does not seem very fair.  Denise talked about playing and what would the bunny do.  I know what bunnies do and I catch them!

We had a great day and I was ready for bed when we got to the hotel room!

Ready for our fun weekend

We have arrived at our hotel and carried everything inside.  There were no "wheels" this time so Mom had to make about 15 trips to get everything in the room.  Luckily she took me in the room and I stretched out while she carried everything.  And another nice hotel with a great chair!  Looking forward to tomorrow!

Going to see Denise!

Mom and I are getting packed for our weekend trip to see Denise Fenzi again.  We are both very excited, not only are we going to the seminar, but we have a working spot AND a private lesson.  I can only imagine what ideas Mom may have for our lessons.  My friend Chase is going too!!

Mom is a spy

Mom thinks she is spying on me, but I know she is watching.  Especially when she moves the camera, and she knows I catch her as I look her in the eye through the camera.  Now she takes pictures of me too!  She likes this picture because my ear is hanging over the bed.  My mom sure is silly!!!

 

Ostrich necks

YUM, YUM, YUM!!!!  Mom found ostrich necks for me since I cannot have chicken anymore.  When she pulled out my bed and got a towel, I was SOOO excited as I knew what that meant.  It was really good and so much fun to chew.  I love to chew bones and this one tasted really good.  I sure hope she bought a lot of them!

FUN class for Halloween

Mom and I celebrated Halloween by going to class tonight.  We LOVE going to our class, it is always so much fun.  Tonight was the best!  Pauline has great games because you always earn great cookies.  I love the 2 plate game that we all play together.  Well tonight it was a SIX plate game!!  Each plate had a cookie and we took turns going out and doing tricks and then we get to run and get our Treat.  It was a very special Trick AND treat game.  It was sooo much fun, I even got applause because I was so good.

We had a great night doing real obedience things too, I was 100% on my go outs and my articles.  We all did them side by side and we used the entire article pile.  Mom was SOOO proud of me.

I can't wait until next week to go back to class again!

Fun in the rain and wind

Mom promised me we could go to the school and run today.  I did not let her forget.  We got all bundled up and headed to the school.  I wore my coat to try to help keep me dry.  I did not care that it was wet and rainy, it just made for a lot more smells!  Of course Mom found more flowers for me to pose with, I still do not understand her fascination, but I give in and make her happy.  You can see in the picture how happy I am, we have not been to the school for a long time.  Also, look at my ears blow in the wind.  Gary is silly and said I was lucky I did not blow away with those ears :)

STAYS!

Mom and I went to an obedience match today.  We are trying to decide if we should enter Open yet or not.  Mom is really worried about my stays, not as much about me, but breaking them if another dog comes after me in the ring like before.  We have worked really hard and I can do my out of sight stays with no problem at class.  This weekend was our first time in another building.  Mom watched the other dogs to get an idea if she thought there would be a problem.  I guess not as we went in with the group!   She put a little more room between me and the other dogs, but I was between 2 dogs and she did leave the ring.   I got cookies at the half way point on both stays, but I was a GOOD boy and I got lots!! of cookies when we were done.

I had a lot of fun doing all the jumping and retrieving.  Not too excited about the heeling though, not sure why that is still necessary.  We did directive jumping and I hit my leg on the jump.  Mom registered us at 28 and guess she forget to tell me that she did that!!  

We had a lot of fun and Mom was very happy with me.  We are still not sure if we are going to enter or not, I think we are ready :)

Work from home day!

I am so happy that we got another work from home day today.  It started off a little rough though.  I wanted extra cookies and ice cubes and ....  I took Mom to the kitchen 3 times!  She finally told me that I had a choice - uh-oh!   She told me that I could have free roam of the house, lay on the couch, in the bed, or go under her desk OR she could go to work and I would have to go in my kennel.  She told me it was my choice.  Hmmm, for some reason I really do not think it is.  But, I agreed that I wanted her home and I went under her desk and stretched out.

Later in the day I REALLY wanted her to take a break and take me outside.  She told me she had one more call and if I could go to my bed while she was on the phone, as soon as she was done we would go outside.  Ok, that sounds like a good plan.  I went to my bed and was a very good boy and as soon as I heard her ending the call - I WAS READY!!   We went outside and I got to run and play.  That was a good deal too :)

After lunch I was on fly duty.  This is me fly hunting!   This is where they hang out.

FUN DAY AT THE PARK

Mom and I went to the park today and had so much fun!!  She took all our stuff and set up a ring and we practiced go outs, directive jumping, retrieves, retrieves over the jump, drop on recall (the fun kind that I get to RUN to cookies!) and all kinds of other fun stuff.  THEN...  I got to play in the woods and hunt and point.  I don't think it gets any better.  It is a very fun park as there are a lot of things to do.

OUTSIDE!

Enjoying the great outdoors in beautiful weather.  I love playing outside, there is always something great to do!

Big Stick

I found a big stick in my back yard today.  I carried it all over and then thought I would take a break and chew it.  But Mom would not let me and took MY stick!
