Santa was here!!

Santa was here, I thought I heard him last night!   Look at all the great stuff I got.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Where is Santa?

Mom and I wrapped gifts last night and we put up our socks.  I  have had my Christmas sock since my very first Christmas.  Mom and Gary found it when shopping as it has great big ears that move up and down, and it plays music.  I know what it means :)

But, I got up this morning and ran over all excited and checked it - NOTHING!  What??!!  I have been a good boy, why did Santa not visit.   Then Mom explained it was Christmas eve and Santa would come tonight - whew?  That was a scary moment.

I was trying to hunt, and Mom was taking "pretty boy" pictures.  No wonder whatever it was would not come out!

Hunting

Mom took me to the school to run this morning and I found my "new" hunting grounds.  It is perfect, I can even play "Where's the Weim" as I just blend right in (well, if Mom took off my collar!)

And I know there was something in there.  I could see and smell it.  I just could not get it to come out!

Fun training day

I had a fun day with Mom.  She rented the building for us so I could go do something without slopping in mud.  I really don't have an issue with that, but she does.  We took all our stuff and Mom set up a utility ring and we practiced all kinds of fun games.  Then she put cookies all over and expected me NOT to look at them.  Hmm, that part was not quite as fun.  But then I did get to run and get them.

Then we put everything back the way we found it and ran some agility.  Mom said I "rocked" the course :)
I just had fun.  I think she made more mistakes than I did. 

I MUST go run!

WE had a great day today, but Mom kept saying we will go for a walk "soon" but soon never seemed to happen.  We ran errands and had a great lunch in the van, picnic style.  Then we went home and made cookies and played games while they baked.  We made llama, ostrich and salmon cookies - YUM!!  We also played Christmas music and danced to Jingle Bell Rock.  I am a good dancer and I can really leap high!  

Then Gary came home and wanted to cook out.  Cook outs are great, but "soon" just got later and I really NEED to run.  Please take me to RUN!  Mom did not listen, so when we went upstairs, I ran around and around and around the room.  I went out the door turned around and zoomed back through.  Then down the stairs around the family room and back upstairs.  FINALLY!!  They got the point. 

Mom took me to the park and since it was almost dark and rainy, no one else was there.  She unleashed me and away I went.  It was so much fun.  There was mud and puddles and more mud and puddles and I just splashed through all of it.  I RAN and RAN and RAN, and mom said I had a big smile the entire time.  

It has been raining since Sunday and I have not been out very much.  I am so glad she finally understood it was needed!!!!

Dandelion in December

We went for a short walk in our yard today and look what Gary found?  Really???  Dandelions year round now?  Of course Gary had to point it out to Mom who thought it would be such a good idea for ME to pose with it. 

SICK!

Mom and I are supposed to go to Cinci today for obedience and I have been sick since 4:30 this morning.  Mom got up with me and we slept on the couch for awhile.  I wanted breakfast as my tummy was empty!  I started feeling better and even went out and chased a bunny!  Mom thought we were good to go, but as she was getting ready I got sick again.  I got on the couch and got all snuggly and took a long nap.  I know Mom is sad as she was excited about our day today.

Being a model is hard work

Tonight was Christmas card picture night, wow, how can posing be such hard work?  Mom and Gary both worked to get good pictures for our cards.  They had to have them just perfect!  Gary would pose me and Mom would laugh and Gary would tell her to quit laughing at me or I might leave.  Luckily we were in front of the glass door and I kept checking out the handsome dog in the window.  I earned a lot of good cookies for just sitting still.  But we finally had to quit as I could not stay awake.

Good thing they are happy with the pictures.  I can't share or it will give away the surprise of our cards. 

Fun at the school

We got all bundled up today and went to the school to run.  We have not been there for a long time so it was fun to run around and smell all the new smells.  Mom was laughing at me as I was zooming around and smiling because it was soo much fun.  Mom tried to go back to the van and I convinced her to let me hunt a little longer.

My new ride

Mom and I got a "new ride" to take us to all our fun events.  I wasn't quite sure at first, but now I really like it!  We broke it in by taking it to PA for our weekend trip.

But I need it now...

Mom got a new bed for me for Christmas.  Actually it is a furry blanket like she has.  I wanted my own blanket for my kennel as it is soft and warm.  As soon as she brought it in the door I grabbed it and took off with it to my kennel.  She said she must have picked a good one!

Then I got in my kennel and looked really cute to convince her to let me have it now!  I will remember on Christmas, I promise :)

Turkey Day!

Not only is it turkey day, but it is not a work day and we have been outside playing!!  I got to run with Mom and Gary and then play bumper.   It is so nice outside Mom and I could stay outside all day!

And then I got turkey and eggs for dinner! YUM!  What a great day.  

GRRREAT DAY

What a great day Mom and I have had today.  It started with eggs for breakfast, YUM!  Then we went outside to play and Mom set up our training yard for later today.  I got to run and smell all the great smells in my yard.  

When Mom was done we did a few fun things and Mom did not have cookies or toys so I played with her headband instead.  That was fun!  

Next on our agenda was baking cookies!!  I always enjoy baking cookies as I get the batter AND get to be the taste tester.  We made two big batches and I also helped bag them up.

And then we went out to play in our training yard.  We did some agility, just weaves and jumps as Gary already put away all our big stuff :(   Then we did obedience!  I really like doing my go outs and jumping and signals and REALLY like the dumbbell and gloves.  We practiced some new things we learned at the seminar too.  

I wish every day could be like this!

Obedience and SWIMMING

Mom and I met Chase and Pauline for obedience today.  We rented the building to play and help each other on some new focus exercises.  We had so much fun playing and I got to jump big jumps and even did the dogwalk once :)   I did great on my go outs and Mom was so proud of me.  

When we were getting ready to leave, Pauline asked if I liked to swim.  Mom told her no.  She was going to throw bumpers for Chase so said we should just throw bumpers.  Well, when we went to the field/pond, I was very intrigued with the pond.  There were so many great smells.  I ran all around the pond, putting my feet in and putting my head in the water to smell what was in there.  Chase retrieved one bumper from the water and I knew I had to try too.  I chased him with his bumper and then Mom threw mine in.  I was determined to get it.  I tried barking at it, but that really didn't help.  I kept going in and coming out and going in and coming out, but finally swam and picked it up.  Mom was so happy and told me how good I was.  Well, I wanted to try again. and again and again.  It was a blast.  When it was time to leave, we went to the van to get dried off.  I tried to run back to the pond, but Mom got me :)   I cannot wait to do that again, how much fun!! I am glad Chase showed me how much fun it could be.
 

TICKS!!

While Mom and I were on our great trip, I got a tick on my belly.  Mom was really worried as it had a big red ring around it.  She instantly thought I had lyme disease and would not leave it alone.  Finally I had to tell her I was done!  and to leave it alone.  She could not wait to get home to get some CS on it and clean it again.

Mom sent the tick off for testing, just to be sure.  She also has me on supplements to boost my immune system to help fight any disease.  She has been zebbing me and giving me reiki and pulling out all the bad stuff.   I can't wait for the results so she can leave it alone.

Our private lesson

Mom and I had our private lesson this morning and it was really good.  Denise was very complementary of how much we have progressed.  She was very impressed with my moving stand and my go out sit.  She told Mom I was getting bold :)    She gave Mom a lot of great ideas on how to help me do things we have been struggling with.  We worked with her for 30 minutes and learned so much and had LOTS of fun.  I really did not want to leave as we were having a blast.

It was time to pack up and head home.  What a great weekend it was, I really did not want to leave.  I like our morning walks and all the fun games every day.  I sure hope we can do this again soon!
